During the Cultural Revolution, a few Chinese kung fu masters left China and settled in Korea, bringing Longfist, Praying Mantis, and Pakua Chang. Hence, Korean Kung Fu was developed. Korean Kung Fu is not modern "contemporary wushu" but rather old school kung fu.
@wahzzzup Interesting. I believe most all martial arts derived originally from China with a few exceptions (such as African martial arts). My primary experience has been with Tae Kwon Do (10 years), but now studying from the Shaolin Wu-Yi institute. Fun to be able to see such variety of videos on YouTube.
