Hey i have a 2inch female JD (less aggressive)....can i get a 1 or 1/2 inch Convict to put with her because my aquarium is boring with just her in there. Also how long would it take for it to reach about 5 inches from its current size (Food: Hikari Gold live breeder minnows and nightcrawlers daily ps. I raise them )

@pitbull0592 sure, you can put them together, just make sure there is enough room for both of them and hiding places. Im not sure how long it would take for your jd to grow 5 inches, but the bigger the fish tank you have, the bigger the fish will grow.

@MrSomehobo i guest it depends on the size of the fish tank, if you have a big fish tank, 100 gallon and up, i would go american but if you got something smaller, 40 gallon, maybe african. it up to you which kind of fish do you like more??

@Hap3nis yeah, my fish ended up eating my crayfish too. which is weird cus the cray fish was a bit bigger than most of them.

i think is a 30 gal, i had gouramis and cichlids together for a while now and i never seen them fight .

@sufina929 this is a 30 gallon, most people will tell you that gouramis and african cichilds together are not a good idea, but i never had a problem with them together.
