  • Ultramagnetic M.C do not get the credit for the massive innovation they brought to hip-hop. Im so fuckin glad these youtube vids are here for me and other true heads to enjoy. Keep the radio, Soulja Boy. Thats shits all garbage anyway.

  • @mrwesdaddy I think jay-z is the only real rapper, all the others rap about being in love

  • this was on that remix album they put out later, dunno about at the time.

  • Dat was the funky shit, right there. Never heard this version before, I kinda like the rawness - sounds like a bunch of guys with some kit, just doin' it

  • You can tell that is is the unmixed and unmastered version and sounds like crap compared to the album verion, but still one of my favorite joints of all time none the less.

  • really tho i'm kinda upset and that's the wrong pic yell

  • ...this is what you call "HIP HOP"...not that crap you hearing nowadays....arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • This is a good ol jam for real. I would hear this in Philly on Power 99 on

Friday nights when Lady B had her show. The good ol days before all this garbage music.

  • what fuckin version is this?

  • kool keith was the first to really get creative with wordplay and he revolutionized flow and deliveryIMO.

  • Oh for sure man! Son really revolutionized the game. Him, Rakim, Kane, and Chuck D really changed what it meant to be a lyricist. Can't forget KRS and LL, either. Kool Keith is still a legend, nobody's ever rapped like he did. Seriously, people say hip hop has changed, and it has, but today's emcees can't even compare to the past. Ced-Gee is mad underrated, too.

  • ya bro he really challenged u to keep up with him

  • Waaaaaay ahead of his time. You can play his lyrics now and it still holdsup to/exceeds lyrics of today. Timeless.

  • word up no doubt kool keith way ahead of his time he's original no one like him.....peace out ....new york city.....

  • been saying that for years good shit my equal yell

  • nice of you to include prodigy ))) i started listening to Ultamagnetic MC's coz of them ;)

  • Legends. Kool keith is still one of the best.

  • @ANDROID697 correction Kool Keith is the best.

  • great music

  • google - richard toson, he did that critical beatdown shit over it's nice he just need ced gee to produce that shit forreal

  • Yeah, the original is on here somewhere,

  • this is a late-'90s remix from "the b-sides companion"

  • yes... original is better...... pure lyrical mindblowin' madness

  • ٭٭٭٭٭

  • doesnt quite sound like the original i have from back in the day. any of u lot heard the umc's - messege fro the boss ( the piano version).

    cant find it anywhere!

  • this sounds like the demo version.

  • totally...Ive got critical beatdown 3x on wax 1 unopened...baddest rap album ever

  • Man, I bought this Tape for fifty cents back in 98' at a swapmeet. The best fifty cents I've ever spent. PornoStar is my fav track.

  • dope!!!!

  • which tune is the james brown scream sample from?

  • Yeah the Critical Beatdown version and 12" release (which I have on next plateau original vinyl) was punchier and worked better than this version, and was without doubt one of my favourite releases during the 80's, Check it out - watch?v=QJqz3Z8iSNg

  • I`ve never heard this before good group the raw raw shiit!!

  • classic

  • kool kieth call c-larock from jackson project

  • the original is better

  • agreed

  • super oldschool

  • the double mother fuckin K bitch!

  • This song (and album) made me what I am today. REBEL XD

  • Yes, I know all things Ultra and this is not the same joint from the Critical Beat down album. It sounds like it lacks the intensity of the album version.

  • This is not the same song as on the album. It sounds like an earlier recording.

  • is this a different mix?

  • change my pitch up , smack my bitch up like a pimp

  • this songs hard as fuk NYc for life east coast up in here the best mcs ever

  • this is that east coast shit i had respect for, that shit that made me rhyme, that new east shit that them cats is doing now, trying to be bloods and crips like us out in cali we laugh at that shit, that is that true shit yell

  • 5 star moet - check critical album shouts. over here in the UK the track let me love you was on streetsounds electro 16 comp. LP anyone know anything about them?

used the same sample as mc shy D but with crazy beat sync. just raw. pure production

  • That beat used to make us all crazy in club at the time. Still makin' us all crazy, everytime we hear it!!! The way the drums are worked on the drum machine, man a work of art. Even my man Pete Rock agreed on that.

  • this is the '97 RMX off of B-Sides Companion dope tho thnx been lookin for this RMX

  • Ced Gee: "... as we gradually slowly will teach ALL how to rap." How prophetic ...

  • i would like to give some shout outs....shout out to dj kool herc grandmasterflash afrika bambatta rock steady crew crazy legs ken swift you da baddes eric b jay-z biggie wc dj premeir one of the dopest cutmasters keith murray e double cool j phife dog dr.dre 2pac krs one and the mighty boogie down productions...

  • "well im the ultimate the ryhme imperial im betta but some dont believe though but im a pro in hot material on your walkman box or any stereo uno dos not quatro spanish girls they like to call me poncho"lol kool keith one of the most unique hip hop rap artist, hailing from the boogie down bronx new york, peace to new york city the founders of hip hop and rap music which it is now known today.....

  • This is hot I remeber this cut...

  • my comment can never be worthy of how great this is.

  • "It seems weird / Your head is triangle! / Like a mango, something I snack on / A soft duck, something I smack on"

First cut on Ultra's first album = first "WTF?" moments from Kool Keith's lyrics.

    And it's all good.

  • he's dissing LL Cool J with that lyric. listen carefully to the whole thing. itz funny.

  • yea its true about the kangol thing right?

  • Does anyone know what the "Tone style" is??? Well let me tell you, they used to be the best one after Big Daddy Kane. They were close to beat the master...

    Damn I miss that time!

  • Somebody find and upload,A Chorus Line, feat. Tim Dog. That beat is nuts too.

  • Classic raw ghetto hip hop.Their beats were sick.

  • one of the altime great joints yell
