I think nicotine is the most addictive drug... and I was on xanax for 14 years and went through hell stopping that the detox was like torture but that feeling lasted a lot longer when I stopped smoking... panic, anxiety and meltdowns for over a year... Nicotine seems like it has no effect on your brain while one smokes but once you quit, you notice how powerful it really was... i thought all day every day about smoking for 2 years... opiates have been rx'd for dental work but that itchy crap NO

big pharma. consumer lies. intensively farmed food and crops. pretending to not see how fucked up your environment is so you can go on being a drooling sheeple zombie spazwit. getting over-excited at others acheivements, when your teams performance really only matters to those getting wages for playing etc. cleaning products and cosmetics that aren't natural. all those and more are far worse addictions than drink & baccy, which btw both are adulterated heavily with additive toxins.

@corillo145 Oxycontin makes my tolerance go up to fast, i stick with Norco sadly i like painkillers they make me feel so good, weed i cant see straight and to tired, alcohol makes me urinate to to much and the euphoria dosent last long i become irritable. With Norco i be myself and do activities in life well without my social anxiety disorder

@thexshattered well mary jane makes people happy and has many uses! Hemp which is from the same family as mary jane has many products including paper. The united states government does not really give a damn about us. And whether we choose to smoke or not should be entirely up to us, but USA believes we are too damn retarded to take care of ourselves and make sensible choices in which we know the risk and benefits!

Marijuana is not a drug, but a medication that is used for many different illnesses. I'm voting yes on Prop. 19. Anything that any person enjoys doing can be psychologically addicting, the feeling of joy is psychologically addicting, Disney Land is psychologically addicting, that's why people keep going back year after year.

@Ultrafrog1 Great points and I agree with you fully.. It seems as though anything, that brings one pleasure becomes illegal in someways.. I know I suffer from debilitating anxiety and I'd much rather use THC than Xanax which I'm RX'd unfortunately its considered criminal in my state, even though I don't bother anyone, because marijuana is not legal here what-so-ever. Child Protective Services says I can be a good mother while taking my rx xanax but not under the influence of pot.Go figure.

@millerfamily03 hahaha I know, right? I've been addicted to Xanax, legal, and it can lead to SEVERE addiction, like as bad or worse than most Illegal drugs. When you stop abrubtly or even try and lower your Xanax dose, you can have A SEIZURE, and its a real possibility. And pot? Very very low potential for addiction, and if someone gets "addicted" to pot, its not too hard to break the habit. I think our whole "drug" classifications make little sense at all. So many hypocrisies and BS.

Even aspirin which we use for a cold sometimes is a drug, of course that crap messes with the stomach and is prob more harmful than pot. I am voting yes cause the gov can take their noses out of peoples private business! what people do in their homes should be up to them.

Another throw in I would like to add here is all of the additive qualities that can lead to dependance... pot hits a psychological and not a pyshical not... which can also be attriubtted to lack of selfmotivation and laziness. I did notice they did not give the numbers of deaths in America a year in this video, which I believe should have been added. Note: I am not here to sing the praise of anyone of these drugs, but it does seem like there is a lesser of evils, IMO

@big0red0target When I started using in middle school it was cigarettes and alcohol which led to pot and then on to hydrocodone cough syrup and pills and then to meth and crack. All are bad, but I must say that I know people who smoke pot and have never branched on to other drugs. I am a Christian now, but I believe in medical marijuana.

I'm actually curious about the information regarding alcohol: is the gateway theory true for alcohol? I know it doesn't directly force you go to even harder drugs, but since it does lower your inhibitions, would it be fair to say that there's an increased chance of using even harder drugs while under the influence of alcohol?
