Where did I say that Australian was a language. The American in the video said, I have to translate Australian to English. Implying that people in Australia speak a different language. Learn how to read.
@mumandtwins Thanks heaps - Bryce is a great friend and it was wonderful to meet him in person after getting to know each other via YoutTube. We are worlds apart physically (on different continents) but so close in spirit and friendship.
this cracked me up! and here a trolley is an old fashioned bus or tram you ride through older parts of larger cities or...those things you ride from the parking lot up to an amusement park : ) looks like y'all had fun! : )
@KimberlyAnne618 Ha ha .... that sounds so cool. I love taking the kids to those places. America certainly has some cool amusement parks that we would love to visit ! ;)
@meerkatlibrarian Hi Olivia, I arrived home last Sunday, I've been at work for a week and the jet-lag almost killed me. But I wouldn't have missed the trip for the world ;)
@Cazzie11 Thanks for your comment Cazzie - great to hear from you. I love your "this won't buy the baby's dress or pay for the one it's wearing"! These type of quotes come from the type of things native Australians say. My Grand mother always said ... "Reach me down a star"! This was most often mentioned when she was in shear frustration ;)
@fragmat Hey John it's interesting to hear you say that. The Yanks are such cool dudes, hey! I love the comments people make on this video, it's such an education!
a very close friend of mine, Lara ( from Brisbane in Queensland) was living here in the states back in the late 80's (in Wilmington, North Carolina) and she used to say "tucker" a lot...I found out it meant food....but I never asked the derivation.
@detkicker Hey Mike, great , I'm so pleased you liked the video. Bryce and I filmed it when we were shopping whilst staying at your place last weekend. We had such a great weekend with you. I only wish we could still be there with you. Big hugs to ya mate! Love ya heaps!
hahaaaa,, good video, and great idea. thumbs up! Brobryce, only correction is in the South(best part of the great ol USA) is every "fizzy drink" or "pop" is a coke,, dont matter what type drink you go in for you always say for example "im gonna stop up here and get me a coke" when in fact u might walk out with a sprite,, its all coke hehe.
@TrueBlueAustralian thats ok... I have a long list of wierd aussie foods that I dont like... just a few are vegemite, chicko rolls, dagwood dogs and musk sticks - the candy that tastes like bad perfume! lol... some things only taste good to the people that grow up with them :) AND if aussies were able to try PROPER biscuits and homemade sausage gravy instead of imagining a scone with the bad gravy from the takeaway shop I am sure many would be converts :))))))
