@sachidanandaurs And...in a way I regret that someone who claims to be a Freddie & Queen fan(saw your profile)is giving a totally irrelevant comment like this! George and Lisa's only intention was to pay tribute to their "Idol" aswell. If the other Queen band members seemed to appreciate itt very much why fgs can't you? I'm sure Freddie was watching approvingly from up above :-). Anyway, I'm sure it sincerely came from both their hearts and that's the main thing here and very meaningful too.

im wondering how long it will take before the lewd act man gets aids to hes as gay as freddy ever was a terribble waste of life freddy was luv him!!!!1he will always be !!!!!!
Lisa Stansfield spoils this performance for me. Her vocals sound incredibly insincere and i don't think she was a fan of neither Fredddie nor Queen. The singer, Sam Brown would have been a much better choice. I'm quite surprised she wasn't at least chosen as a backing singer for this concert. She would have been amazing no doubt about it.

Not being the original it was going to suck but having George sing it just killed it. What a load of rubish, they should keep george to ruining his own songs lol
it's still beautiful, but is not even close to the effect of the original. George puts to much generic sounding emotion in it, that the song loses the effect it had.
George Michael has one of the most naturally passionate voices to ever be recorded.
He's probably the most undderrated vocalist of his generation due to his Pop image.
Brian May and the other members of Queen commented after this Freddie Tribute that George was the one that did Freddie the most justice on this and Somebody to Love!
I wish these two sang together more. And Lisa to me has the most beautiful smile of anyone and George is one of the most sexiest boys on the earth but he just can't drive.....lol...I love him anyways,
Beautiful guitar....George Michael sounds great...somehow Lisa Stansfield does not sound as plugged into the song (just as she was in the rehersal clip).
Looks like you Freddie fans are gettingupset just because George did a better performance than Freddie. And I would like to have seen Freddie sing a GM song better than him.
its so amazing, how all other "great artists" here at the tribute, all their attempts to sing these songs go horrible because no one can match his singing power

he's talking about "Innuendo", Robert Plant made them remove it from the DVD release of this show because his voice was in very poor condition and he could not remember the words and consequently could not sing the song correctly at the time. The DVD release sucks I hear, because a lot of the show is left out.

I heard a live version of this song sang by freddie when he was young, and it was nowhere near as good as George Michaels version. I think you need to get your ears tested. Just because your a fan of queen doesn't mean nobody else has not got the right to do a better cover song than freddie

Sorry I wasn't refering to the days of our lives, I was refering to somebody to love. I've heard Freddie sing that song live and his power and range was nowhere near like GM
I disagree. GM certainly has an excellent voice but he just flat out ignored some of the higher notes in that performance. He doesn't have anywhere near the range that Freddie was capable of.
Freddie, represented very well...

Freddie sung this song when he could barely walk & talk.
Freddies body had accelerated aging because of Aids.
He had multiple throat infections, his finger & toenails where always raw with puss coming out, his gums where rotting, hair was falling out.
He weighed 4-5 stone if that before he died.
SO SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT Freddie !!!

he's talking about "Innuendo", Robert Plant made them remove it from the DVD release of this show because his voice was in very poor condition and he could not remember the words and consequently could not sing the song correctly at the time. The DVD release sucks I hear, because a lot of the show is left out.

I heard a live version of this song sang by freddie when he was young, and it was nowhere near as good as George Michaels version. I think you need to get your ears tested. Just because your a fan of queen doesn't mean nobody else has not got the right to do a better cover song than freddie

wasn't this written when he was dying...when did he do a live version (Freddie i mean)

Sorry I wasn't refering to the days of our lives, I was refering to somebody to love. I've heard Freddie sing that song live and his power and range was nowhere near like GM
steels124 3 years ago
I disagree. GM certainly has an excellent voice but he just flat out ignored some of the higher notes in that performance. He doesn't have anywhere near the range that Freddie was capable of.

Well all I can say to that is that you must have problems with your hearing. Either that or you have bad taste.
