Why is American Dad better than Family Guy?

Roger > Stewie

Klaus > Brian (Brian is just a pretentious douche, not funny at all)

Haley > Meg

Francine > Lois

However, I will admit that Peter is funnier than Stan. Overall, Family Guy has really hilarious one-liners and cutaways. American Dad has amazing one-liners, plots, AND their characters are just so funny. Roger will never get stale. Oh, and American Dad's Christmas episodes are just SO much better than any other show's christmas episodes.

American Dad doesn't need shock value to be funny, and the humor feels more natural and relaxed. Don't get me wrong, I think Family Guy is funny, but one can get tired of their brand of humor very fast. I find American Dad superior, whether the two shows have the same creator or not.
