There is a future for independently moderated video election debates on YouTube. I think that a moderator is required who should refuse candidates' video responses that don't stick to debated issues. Same deal with responses to the debate from the YouTube viewers.

Yes back then we had blogs but nobody paid them any attention. Whereas Youtube was featured in the Presidential debates.

Not trying to toot my own horn here, but I just uploaded a video (two, actually) pertaining to this subject, sort of.

I'm happy at the outcome, but at the same time, it scares me to think what people will do when they find out that Obama isn't perfect and is going to make mistakes, just like everyone else. He, himself, won't change everything. We all have to contribute as well. You can want and call for change all you want, but nothing will change unless you take action.

Oh, and I suppose I should actually comment on your content in your video. Yes! I got a lot of information via YouTube and various sites, to learn more about each candidate. I'm primarily Democratic, but I feel you should learn a lot about each candidate in order to make an informed and educated decision. But yeah, it made it SO much easier to be able to search on Google or YouTube. Especially for the younger voters, like myself, who find CSPAN extremely annoying.

True. Nobody gets everything they want in an election. However in two years we can elect new representatives and vote on new balot inititives. We have the best political system in the world.

All day today I had to listen to people in my class whine about how Obama's going to be the next president and that's bad, but when I'd ask them why that's bad the only reason they could give me was that he's black and he's going to ruin the country. I think you should have to take a test about the candidates before you're aloud to vote. If you're that ignorant and closed minded you shouldn't be aloud to vote.

Oh I agree. I am at a truck stop right now and I can't tell you how many truckers have come by trying to tell me racist obama jokes. Such as the bald eagle hss been replaced with fried chicken or the Statue of Liberty will be replaced with Aunt Jemima. It is just plain sad. It doesn't really matter who is president. It won't affect our lives that much.

Yes blogs usually are borring especially ones discussing politics. We are all so sick of it now.  So I made the faces and effects to make it fun. Also I guess this wasn't really about politics as it was about the future of YouTube and how it will affect elections in the future.
