Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330

Hawaiian went with Airbus because Boeing was too snooty about their Dreamliner. Hawaiian wanted to order from them, but Boeing thought Hawaiian's order was too small for them to even consider. Oh, well!

wow i love it...the livery looks great on the a330. The a330 is a very beautiful and very reliable aircraft. Great track record.

I agree hawaiian should have stuck with the boeing aircraft. Much better overall. Personally i like the 767's with the wing lets. Airbus??? Why??? I guess better on fuel.

Why did Hawaiian order A330's? Could they not wait for the 787? Was the 777 not viable enough?

@scaremenga. Good question! According to the company, compare to the 777 (I don't know about the 787), the A330 saves more fuel then the 777. Personally, I'm much of a Boeing kane (man).

@DeltaEagle7700@DeltaEagle7700 No matter what HA says, they made a dumb choice and will probably suffer. A330 with Rolls-Royce Trents? Where's the commonality with their PW-equipped 767's? What makes even less sense is that they're retrofitting winglets onto their 767 fleet, so those aircraft probably won't leave for awhile. What's the A330 replacing? Air?

@scaremenga. Possibly in the future, the entire 767 fleet. Because not only the A330 is replacing the 767 fleet, but also in the future, they're going to order A350's.

@DeltaEagle7700 They already have A350's on order. What I don't understand is why they did not order the 777, already in full production and meeting HA's capacity requirements. More 767-300's would've closed the gap that the A350 is intended to fill. I guess it's just hard for me to see Hawaiian turn to Airbus.
