  • fake hip hop ? we aint got no time fore that this is real hip hop !!

  • this song is so unique....ahead of its time

  • I like those single horn notes towards the closing of the song. That "haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa."

  • She took all my money. She left me wit da pinto and the shiwawa. Now that's cold blood. Hey, what can I say.

  • fuuuuucccccckkkkk!

  • this is like a diamond. only people who are willing to search for it, will find gems like this.

  • This is freakin' genius..

  • Every single track on this album has this quality of beats and rhymes. Incredible.

  • Great jam song. I don't know anyone who actually hates this track.

  • Lol i remember when i 1st heard this album. still lisnin the same sense 3 years later

  • dilla...even from the grave

  • ill

  • wow this is straight fire thumb up number 101

  • This album changed my life.

  • I love how there is no dislikes

  • there's a reason why there are NO dislikes for this. insane beat with common spittin fire

  • dope as hell

  • produced by SOULQUARIAN'S(D'angelo & ?uestlove),Kelo,and THE Roots

Lead Vocals by Common ;Back Ground Vocals by Black Thoght and Rahzel "The Godfather of Noyse" ;Trumpet by Roy Her Groove ;Claves by D'angelo and SOULQUARISN'S ;Drum and Bass by ?estlove ;Hand Claps by ?uestlove,James Poyser,D'angelo,Roy Her Groove,Black Thought and Common

  • you could tell the roots did this one....its got D'angelo written all over it!!

  • @smittytrini The problem is that it was originally a D'Angelo track. The Roots gave the original version of this song to Common. D'Angelo told ?uestlove that he wasn't leaving the studio until he had that song. So they swapped tracks- Common got this and D'Angelo got what became "Chicken Grease".

  • @MyJunior1975 Nope, that was Geto Heaven part two.

  • Great beat, lyrics, and delivery. It's just great all around.

  • the beat is made by the roots

  • search for:

    "funkin for you" by parliament

  • I still listen to this joint like it's brand new. Fine balance of rugged and laidback.

  • makes me wanna just chill and smoke

  • can I borrow a dollar....word life!

  • lol who listens to the radio anyway?

  • @iTzUNwritten This is by The Roots, and Rahzel's beatboxin' on this one.

  • his best album ever!!!!!!!

  • Hands down in my opinion..Like Water for Chocolate is in the top 10 of greatest hip hop albums ever made..the work put into this..the artist..this is bananas!

  • Dilla did most of the album but this track was a collab production. ?uestlove did the drums, Hargrove did the horns, D'angelo did the clavanova and other keys.

  • this album was a master piece look at the ppl who had part in the album... all genious's in there own right D'angelo, ?luv, roots, bilal, slum village, james poyser, roy hargove, premier, mc lyte, mos def, cee-lo along wit Common n Dilla no wonder why this album is so great.. jus a musical master piece

  • i luv common!

  • damn hardcore and funky

  • Just imagine.. if Common started making these types of joints and radio actually played it...! This was a such a great time for Chicago/Detroit & hip-hop , just glad to have been a BIG part of it...

Peace... Chi All Day! 1 luv 2 Motor City

    Dilla & Comm!!!

  • Dilla didn't do this beat.

  • i thought he did? how did you find out?

  • It's right in the liner notes, it was ?uestlove

  • would make sense seeing as he gets mentioned

  • This sounds nothing like a Dilla beat.

  • @DJJazzyFlashBooty true, The Roots did this one.

  • @RadReese73 I'm from the Motor Ciry & I remember when this 1st came out... I liked Common's lyrical content on Like Water For Chocolate & One Day It'll All Make Sense... I think that's when Rashid was @ his best!!!!

  • @RadReese73 but there were times where they did play commons music to a point.

  • hot beat. this and The Questions have the best beats on LWFC
