yo yall please check this group called Good Vocation...i put it on videos like this because we are being ourselves...no trap, no sex songs, none of that mainstream stuff....God, love, all that man check these dudes out...pure dopeness man please yall GOOD VOCATION IS NEXT COMING OUTTA CHICAGO PLEASE SHARE YALL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS GROUP MAN THERE DOPE YALLL AND I THOUGH I HAD TO SHARE IT WIT THE WORLD
produced by SOULQUARIAN'S(D'angelo & ?uestlove),Kelo,and THE Roots
Lead Vocals by Common ;Back Ground Vocals by Black Thoght and Rahzel "The Godfather of Noyse" ;Trumpet by Roy Her Groove ;Claves by D'angelo and SOULQUARISN'S ;Drum and Bass by ?estlove ;Hand Claps by ?uestlove,James Poyser,D'angelo,Roy Her Groove,Black Thought and Common
@smittytrini The problem is that it was originally a D'Angelo track. The Roots gave the original version of this song to Common. D'Angelo told ?uestlove that he wasn't leaving the studio until he had that song. So they swapped tracks- Common got this and D'Angelo got what became "Chicken Grease".
Hands down in my opinion..Like Water for Chocolate is in the top 10 of greatest hip hop albums ever made..the work put into this..the artist..this is bananas!
Dilla did most of the album but this track was a collab production. ?uestlove did the drums, Hargrove did the horns, D'angelo did the clavanova and other keys.
this album was a master piece look at the ppl who had part in the album... all genious's in there own right D'angelo, ?luv, roots, bilal, slum village, james poyser, roy hargove, premier, mc lyte, mos def, cee-lo along wit Common n Dilla no wonder why this album is so great.. jus a musical master piece
Just imagine.. if Common started making these types of joints and radio actually played it...! This was a such a great time for Chicago/Detroit & hip-hop , just glad to have been a BIG part of it...
@RadReese73 I'm from the Motor Ciry & I remember when this 1st came out... I liked Common's lyrical content on Like Water For Chocolate & One Day It'll All Make Sense... I think that's when Rashid was @ his best!!!!
@coolandthegang your comment was 2yrs ago i wonder what you think of it now hahaha which is sad its gotten worst and so has Common he's still a good emcee but he is doing what can support his worldy factors
fake hip hop ? we aint got no time fore that this is real hip hop !!

I like those single horn notes towards the closing of the song. That "haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa, haa."
