  • I think the Dog Brothers have come up with some realistic solutions. See Die Less Often - Intro to the Interface of Gun, Knife, and Empty Hands with Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny and Gabe Suarez. Training with the Shocknife has been a real breakthrough as well.

  • Pffffft!!!!!

So you just got done chewing people out about how "ignorant" it is to pull out your knife on someone - saying that "people only take courses like that to reassure themselves."

And yet YOU "train" in "Muay Thai" and "BJJ" which I assume means Blow Job Johnny - and NOW you're acting as if you KNOW what goes down in prison?!

    Nigger Pleez.

  • Way to give new life to a 7-8 month old conversation, idiot.

Talk all you want I could care less nowadays.

  • I've had my friend Jeremy die from a knife wound to the abdomen when he was mugged while walking home about 36 months ago.

He carried his Microtech Socom Elite Auto. Did he have time to open in when some thug stabbed him? No. People don't say "Hey you take out your weapon and I'll take out mine!" and then ask you kindly for your wallet.

Saying things on here proves nothing about you except that your ego is overbearing your thinking.

Quit the macho shit, proves nothing but insecurity.

  • Apparently my comments aren't posting, but I am getting tired of this anyway. You are not giving me any epiphanies. You are talking about stuff I already know. Disproportionate armament, repeated-thrust-centric prison attacks... yeah, this is all old hat to me. Nothing I haven't been studying for years already. Don't project your insecurity on to me, you're the one yapping about how tough he is. I have done the work with this material. Have you?

  • Insecurity means liking to be alive.

Ok then. Sorry I am laid back not aggressive like you seem to think is favorable in life. Good luck with that.

    I'm out.

  • im sorry to hear about your friend.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • That particular edged weapon is considered a PUSH DAGGER and illegal in all 50 states.

  • Man up, bitch.

  • Using a knife in a fight is being a bitch, PERIOD. If you've ever been in a fight involving the other person having a knife, you'd know you don't have the time to draw your own. Your best bet is to run immediately or dodge him until you can run.

  • Fights you face in the street can involve many variables. Guns, knives, sticks, broken beer bottles...etc. Using any and all methods you have, including shooting, stabbing and running away is not 'being a bitch'. The situation dictates the tactics.

  • Best bet it still to remove yourself from the situation. Most likely it will be deemed a consensual fight by the courts and both of you will put put in 'ass-pounding' prison. Defending yourself is one thing, but if you step up to the situation with a weapon it is a fight that will end in attempted murder, murder, or assault, any of which will send you to prison. So either remove your self and look like a bitch or get to meet Tyrese a little bit better than you'd like.

  • Remove yourself from the situation? That sounds like a GREAT idea. But when the situation comes to you and doesn't let you back the fuck off, shit happens. And when shit happens you can either worry about going to jail or worry about ending up in a fucking body bag.

  • If you do get into an altercation and there is no way to get away, you are pretty much fucked. By the time you know he has a knife/gun/etc you won't have time to pull your knife/gun/etc. In the situation that he has a gun, you're fucked no ands, ifs, or buts. If he has a knife best bet is kick him in the knees or groin then RUN.

Personally, I'd rather be dead than in jail. Ass raping every night and good chance you'll die in there. Plus when you get out good luck getting a job.

  • Just because you're stabbed or shot doesn't mean you're going to die...just because someone has a weapon faster than you doesn't mean they're going to shoot you before you shoot them. There are no absolutes in the street. Go watch videos of cops being shot at during routine stops and tell me why they don't always get hit and end up killing their attacker. BECAUSE THEY MOVE! Movement and returning fire. That is the key. Again, no absolutes.

  • It's the police's job to shoot the criminal. If they were a normal person and someone popped a few off at them they'd speed away.

Whoever is attacking you in the streets wants to kill you, not just wound you and say "See ya next time!" If I wanted to kill you with my Berreta 92FS drawn and you made one movement towards your hip or chest I'd put on in your Modula Oblongata. I mean, I don't walk around with my gun or knife drawn.

Stabbed or shot: Most people aren't used to getting either.

  • Forget the context of the police shooting and think about the shooting. You are not getting it. If you trained your Berreta 92FS on me I'd be sprinting off the X using the Pekiti Take off while I go for my G17 and shoot you to the ground. I don't expect you to know what that means. Which is exactly why your defeatest mindset is wrong.

  • By defeatest I think you mean survivalist. The smart one.

Think about this, what if I had my 92FS point right above your jaw. Would you really do all that in the time provided? Would you stand there dumbfounded that you have death in the form of a 9MM aimed in your direction?

No one can answer for sure until they are put into the situation. Human nature makes your mind say "Stay alive, stay alive" Which may mean squeezing off 3 rounds and succeeding or sprinting off or hitting the pavement.

  • Which brings us back to the begining of this conversation...the part where I said you may need to shoot, stab, run away, etc. There are no absolutes.

  • Vicious circle, eh? Good discussion. You are by no stretch the average ignorant YouTuber.

The no absolutes part is the same reason I laugh at most of the Knife Using Martial arts, good stuff.

  • You laugh at knife martial arts? People have been killing each other using knives and knife-centric martial arts for, well, millennia?

  • I laugh at them because most will never be used in combat. There was a book made 30 years ago about knife fighting in prisons. That's a useful book. Not Escrima etc.

  • I'm in Medical Internship, I've seen many people arrive at the hospital that have bleed out via a stab or gunshot wound. You don't want either.

  • I saw you liked the guy who threatened Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. I met Richard Kiel (him) on a flight from Chicago to NY. Poor guy could barely walk.

  • People have fought against guns and knives and survived. It is not an instant death sentence like you seem to think it is.

  • Ok so 100 people are attacked and 2% survive. Only the ignorant seem to like those odds.

You people need to stop watching Lethal Weapon movies and see reality for what it is.

  • Dude I can tell that you have NEVER done the work on this subject, because you're spouting old doctrine that has no basis or structure, and you have no idea what kind of numbers you're dealing with, so you just make some up. Read some studies, do some legit RBSD, maybe get in some real scraps with guns and knives, and then get back to me. :) You will find that not everything is as cut-and-dry as you seem to think it is. And maybe you'll get out of this "FEAR EVERYTHING" mindset too.

  • I'm just saying, getting into scrap involving guns and knives will leaved you scathed in someway. Hell, you should see my forearms/back.

As for the numbers, here at the NYC Presbyterian Hospital where I'm an intern I see knife and gun wounds all the time. The first thing you say to the guy being friendly is "Well, did ya win???"

Half yes, half no. All wounded. (FEW get away clean)

I don't fear everything, it's just hard to get into a knife/gun fight and lose someway.

  • I am not saying that you will get away clean. That is near impossible to do. I have done it sometimes in training but I am not convinced it will flow like that IRL. However, you seem to have contradicted yourself. Your words before now were:

"Ok so 100 people are attacked and 2% survive. Only the ignorant seem to like those odds."

So... how come you see all kinds of people come into the ER alive even with GSWs? Which, if I am to believe what you say, you see all the time?

  • Well hell, people get their legs blown off. I'm sure you can say they "survived" but the conditions are less than favorable.

If you get shot you'll go into shock pretty soon and can die before you get in the ambulance.

If you get shot in the chest and a lung collapses you'll never breath the same.

If you get shot in the knee get used to the name Limpy.

If the bullet hits *almost* anywhere the repercussions will be permanent.

By attacked I mean the person wants to kill them, not mug them,

  • I know people who have been shot, stabbed, and slashed. And Hell, people who have survived IED blasts. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE FOUGHT IN DEADLY FORCE SITUATIONS BOTH WITH AND AGAINST GUNS AND KNIVES. Most of them are cops, and they are doing fine now. The people who have survived after these incidents are FAR IN THE MAJORITY over those who have NOT survived. This is partly due to their training, partly due to their EFFORT and WILL to stay alive and not give the fuck up like a pussy.

  • You make the choice how you act in a situation. Curl up and die, or fight. Sometimes those are the only two options.

  • Who said anything about giving up? Human instinct won't let you give up. I've never given up.

The only reason I said anything is most of the people here think they're fucking Rambo reincarnate.

Training: the key word. Some poor schlub thaT buys a push dagger isn't now protected because he has a new weapon.

People in the military and law enforcement are forced to deal with these situations. They cannot be diplomatic.

Everyone here has too much pride biasing their decisions.

  • I think you're simply reflecting some feelings of inadequacy on to the rest of the people here. They approach this information on a quest to learn or gain something, whereas you approach this information with... what? Some kind of combative expertise? Background? The urge to try and degrade or play it down even though you've never tested it or verified it for yourself? That's not a very "proud" thing to do if you ask me. If anyone here is acting like a couch commando, I think it would be you...

  • By the way, your BJJ and Muay Thai training is only to reassure yourself as well.

  • He's a contridicktion no...LOL!!!

  • I have this DVD, it's really good. The quality of it is terrible though, you can hardly hear it sometimes.

  • This guy is pretty cool. Too bad he hangs out with the likes of Don Rearic, Mike Driscoll, ken Cook et al.

Did you know that the Goatse Man is Don Rearic's dad?

  • Dude tell me about it. Mike Driscoll is a fucking king douche. I have personal beef with him.

  • what's up with DR et al? i learned a lot from Don's site.

  • Do you have permission from Shivworks to post these?

  • good stuff!fmadude!

  • Sorry, sound ain't so good in some parts
