Dunno how much the front ski is or if its sold alone... that ski comes with a kit called ad boivin explorer, it includes ski and all brackets for that and a snowmobile like track for the rear and it costs something like 3000€ in finland. im using a paddle tire in back in this video and i came up with that idea after a year from buying the whole kit.
This idea works great if you know your ridding on snowmobile trail were there isn't a whole lot of ice but if your going out on a lake like most of use do or me anyways I would just stud up an old pair of tires and go with that but this works great i tryed it with my old klx 125 worked OK but disnt have quit enough power to go through 3 feet of snow so but now I have a 2002 KTM 125sx
Nice...I wanted to try a ski upfront but never got around to it. What tire pressure are you running? When I put mine very low it got WAY better traction
I use something like 0,8 bar. About same what i use with my motocross tires! Im afraid that the rim spins inside the tire and breaks the inner tube if i would run it flat, im not sure if its a problem with 125cc and i ride in snowmobile paths (or what ever they are called, sorry for bad english) so its a problem when u are in 10-20 miles from anywhere in middle of forest :( anyways I should have bought some longer studs for my tire... very slippery when driving over the road or clear ice!
thats awesome man! how much snow were you going through off of the trail? and also do you have studs in it too?

Nice video! How does this set-up float on deep snow?
Do you have good braking?
davidplatenkamp 10 months ago
@davidplatenkamp
it dosent float very well and you dont need brakes too much in deep snow.... and brake is slippery in hard packed snow
