LoL has alot of skill involved and the teamwork required is even more complex i kno sc2 has a lot of skill but it has no teamwork at all and thats where LoL shines you guys cant compare the skill level of the two games and LoL will forever be more exciting to watch. people who dislike are hating on LoL when its part of ipl dont like it go find your own sc2 channel, last time i checked ipl wasnt limited to sc2.

@zainzain8520 Mainly because Starcraft II and League of Legends are completely two different genres. The MOBA (LoL) focuses on teamwork, whilst Starcraft II is real time strategy. Which genre that people will prefer is completely up to them. It is subjective after all.

I'm leery about MOBA games in general as they're usually fun to play but REALLY boring to watch, LoL is definitively no exception as it's already one of the easier (easiest?) to play. How there are so many people who watch them is beyond me.

Why the hatred and bickering?! More games being added and supported is a good sign for e-Sports. I love watching both, LoL streams and SC2 replays and delighted that people who enjoy playing games can consider it as a real profession if they are good at it.

@bzeng5114 Exactly. From ALL the sponsors and tournaments and blizzard support combined, SC2 got to half of the prize money being provided by riot games ALONE. IGN have them for next season, so do MLG, both will be adding their own prizes to that...

I love SC2, and I watch SC2 tournaments, whereas I rarely watch LoL....but there's just more being invested in LoL right now.

@bzeng5114 That's like saying SC2 got nowhere near enough prize funding in 2009, therefore it's not a viable esport. LoL only got observer mode about a month or two ago, you can't run a decent casted tournament without observer mode. Hell, it STILL doesn't have replays, they're due out early this year.

Now that it's developed enough to actually work as a tournament game, it's already got a prize budget to compete with the other top esport games. The players earn more fron streams too

@hayden184 More budget than SC2. Just as with real sports, if you don't want to watch baseball, but you like watching football, go watch football. You can't claim that baseball isn't a serious sport though, cos it BLATANTLY is.

LoL has more players than SC2, had comparable numbers on the tournament streams, and now has a BIGGER prize budget, and has been picked up by all the major gaming tournaments. It's as big an esport right now.
