MDC saw himself as Holden Caulfield and his life during that moment provided the 27th chapter to the story. Very deep, but meaningless to someone who is not familiar with The Catcher in the Rye.

Was Stone's film about JFK glorifying Oswald?Were the multiple films about 911 glorifying terrorists? I'm a fan of Lennon & The Beatles & like everyone else I was horrified when he was murdered. I however, feel that the event was historic and as such places it "up for grabs"(so to speak)for the film makers. Banning it because we have 'sainted" Lennon is silly. It's about as reactionary as when those nut cases took Lennon's quote about Jesus the wrong way & wanted to burn Beatles records.

I workd on this film for 10 days, I made the trailer if you freeze frame the 17 th second I'm in the montage of people in the right corner with my back to the camera with my leather peace jacket on, I saw the film today at the Angelica in New York, I think Jared did an excellent job, and put on 60 pounds for the job. We shot outside the real Dakota for all the scenes that did have to be directly in front of the entrance , so they built a replica that looked amazing
