ive seen over 30 vids where assassins kiss the dirt when pvping gladiators and ive always had a thing for speed and stealth really hard to decide between the 2..need info real bad xD

I just tried the aion free trial and i play Wow, in my opinion i think that aion is much better then wow because of the graphics and the fact that you get to fly at Level 10. Unlike Wow you only get to fly at level 60. in my opinion aion is much better than wow.
@jungdonk They are very different right now. WoW is a lot more polished, and has much more game directed balance and instancing for PvP and PvE. I do wish something similar to BGs were in Aion, as the faction imbalances on EVERY server are horribly obvious, and PvP is usually limited to 1v5 if you are on the losing side, and 5v1 if you are on the winning side.
And that just isn't any fun. Also this game costs the same as WoW, $15 a month.
Do not compare wow to aion, I laugh at people who do, seriously wow is for 10 year olds dont come to Aion expecting its gonna be anything like wow this game is HARD + classes are versatile and there are so many moves the opponent can make.
@Gariel2007 No they just have moves that they can do to stun, also things called God stones that apply different status aliments at a certain percent. they might have a stun Godstone. I have a binding GodStone and a Silence Godstone on my weapons for my sin, I get them about every 5-16 attacks when the proc.
This game IS focused on PvP...and SKILL MATTERS :D
My best friend and I used to play WoW, it was our First MMO and we found that we liked the PvP aspect. We got bored and quit due to WoW's HUGE PvP inbalance, and switched to AIon.. and boy is this game amazing. Our first duel lasted 5 minutes... and we had to be quick in our reactions and make right choices otherwise the other would win no matter what class... its very balanced -----> imo <----
@LibertyPheonix This is a complete lie. First, you don't just switch to Aion and enjoy PvP. Not until you pour around 300 hours into leveling a character to 50-55.
Second, the PvP in this game is just as terribly balanced as WoW is. Gladiators have to rely on a long cooldown to get to a target, kiting is rampant, chanters shit on everything, melee is terrible, and the only healing class dies in 1 second unless you have a group with other healers.
ITs stupid to compare every new MMORPG to WoW. I read diffrent commetns of people saying, oh WoW is so much better and everything else is just rippoff >.< You guys just STFU. Aion is a great game, WoW is a great game, its just a mather of what you would like to play, and what you used to. So try the game out with open mind that come back and comment.

However, reading the NCsoft's comments about their own game, and knowing their reputation, it feels like they are going to shut down the NA servers any minute now due to lack of subscribers. Aion is sooo linear, at this level you MUST go here to have worldwide PvP you MUST go here to fly you MUST go here to do this u MUST go here, this game is decent but im seeing people trying to compare it with WoW, it doesnt compare im sorry, WoW is massive it doesnt have 1 path that u follow throughout to lvl 50, btw what do u do when u hit cap in Aion? go to abyss all day? And this is from a much more experienced company when it comes to MMOs. It is impossible to explain why they would construct a game like this. They have way more than enough experience after so many MMOs and years over everyone else to basically fix these right away, but they haven't.
That and I live in Alaska, and always have a 600ms latency connected to their servers. Imagine trying to play melee with normal problems, and then add latency issues.
And yes, I did play it on MAX settings with a very nice gaming laptop, way beyond what the game's maximum specs required.
Now, I can look past all of that pretty easy. But its when I saw the part that it takes THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY HOURS to level up ONE single character to level 50.
350. If you work a fulltime job or have any sort of social life whatsoever, this is ridiculous. This isnt Ultima. I can only play for about 4 hours a day after work, and it would take me 5 months to get there.
Finally got around to playing this, and it really has far too many game breaking issues to even compete with WoW as they both are.
PvP as melee is basically impossible, seeing as you have to completely stand still as melee to even start your attack timer to even hit your target once. There currently is no conventional remedy to keep your target in one place for 3-15 seconds to get off any combos.
And besides the character models, the graphics are hardly an upgrade...
Hes a TEMPLAR not a GLADIATOR NooB , Look at his icon next to the HP it displays a SHIELD .... So hes a TANK class and by the skill they use they are between 20 -30 TOP , in that lvl Templar dont have a chance against Assasin .... 30 + Templar easy beats assasin and glad
Aion has much more to offer in endgame PvP than WoW does. WoW focuses on PvE and PvP in WoW is a "side game" as stated by the developers.
People who want to focus on PvP combat have a much better chance at being appeased by Aion, simply because it has been designed for this sole purpose. I really don't see how WoW is "better" then Aion, when they are designed for two entirely different purposes.
@Wandervon If you look at the controls, movement and environment interaction, I have to argue that WoW has it all figured out way better than Aion. Since these are an essential component to the way you experience the game (either in PvP or PvE) I personally have to conclude that WoW is generally a better game than Aion (and yes, I have played both of them on retail servers for an extensive period).

now lets talk about WoW, thats based on PvP LESS, u got about 10 difrent battle grounds, including capture the flag,capturing bases, siege wars, large scale battles of over 200 players on 1 map, Aion is half a game, barely any enviroment its all linear u go one way and one way only i have a 49 assassin in AIon, i can say right now PvP in Aion cant compare to WoW at all. and dont even start on PvE AHHAHAHA btw, i quit WoW 2 months ago.
oh, and lets not forget, on a WoW PvP server, to kill the oposing nation, you DONT have to be in a singled out map(Abyss), once again making the game seem linear, to pvp you must go HERE to do this you must go HERE and so on, to fly you must go HERE. Aion is half a game like i said before.

@l1ga1 I How does WoW suck, its a very successful Game with 14 million players, I understand the people who watched this vid are more of a Fan of Aion, i never stated it was a terrible game either, it just seems to me that Blizzard is more succesful right now and has more to offer to an MMO game to suite the average online gamers needs. it could be the quality of this video, but i think wows Fps and video is better too. It also seems to me that this is a more slower moving pace in pvp.

@sylar1989 Not really no I mean the two sides are actually from the same race. Their physical features changed due to the surroundings they lived. The Elyos lived in a paradise of trees and beautiful light while the Asmodians lived in a dark and harsh environment leading them to grow claws instead of fingers.

Lol blizzard is pretty lazy, but i think, im not sure, that the pvp in wow is better, like the arena system, high ratings show how skilled you are, but mayby im just used to wows pvp style and i think other games r bad, i tryed Warhammmer online...it was terrible lol
your missing the whole experience. this video or any of them for that matter dont portray it enough. the entire world is an art.. it is different then wow in that sense plus the background, lore, classes, all have different capabilities then wow's counterparts.
graphics are better 10 fold.. XD pvp is better and pve is about the same. you can do combo;s in aion where you cant in wow. You have wings.. (that is friggin cool... am i right? XD) and the attacks looks WAAY cooler.
For a start the assasin is against a templar, not a gladiator, the templar has provoking severe blow on her action bars, and no siesmic wave, unlike a gladiator :)
haha idk man. i use dash attack to keep pace with them along with sprint so i can continue to do dmg. i use poision and if they started getting ahead of me i just bust out the bow. which is funny becuase i have goten some kills with it in the air from ppl trying to run awai it was funny sad and satisfying.
But can you, in Aion, just beat like you do in WOW ? You just begin the fight by getting closer and hit, and you stay here during all the fight, all you can run as hitting, like WoW gameplay ?

it actually isnt turn-based in a textbook sense. games like this, where characters have time intervals in between attacks, arent turn-based. d&D and final fantasy are turn-based. games like this and guild wars are just mmorpgs

Personally, I have yet to see a MMORPG with the PvP quality that Warhammer has (and I like bloody games with lots of war, pillaging, etc., so it rocks for me)... For PvE you could say WoW, but I got tired of the Desert > Forest > Moonscape change in scenarios/ unrealistic border
actually, if you want to play a game with a really impressive pvp system, go play gw. a lot of strategy with the use of builds and team builds. also, there are different types of games, enough that u'll never get bored of it, unless you'd much rather farm

Aion has much more to offer in endgame PvP than WoW does. WoW focuses on PvE and PvP in WoW is a "side game" as stated by the developers.
People who want to focus on PvP combat have a much better chance at being appeased by Aion, simply because it has been designed for this sole purpose. I really don't see how WoW is "better" then Aion, when they are designed for two entirely different purposes.

@Wandervon If you look at the controls, movement and environment interaction, I have to argue that WoW has it all figured out way better than Aion. Since these are an essential component to the way you experience the game (either in PvP or PvE) I personally have to conclude that WoW is generally a better game than Aion (and yes, I have played both of them on retail servers for an extensive period).

now lets talk about WoW, thats based on PvP LESS, u got about 10 difrent battle grounds, including capture the flag,capturing bases, siege wars, large scale battles of over 200 players on 1 map, Aion is half a game, barely any enviroment its all linear u go one way and one way only i have a 49 assassin in AIon, i can say right now PvP in Aion cant compare to WoW at all. and dont even start on PvE AHHAHAHA btw, i quit WoW 2 months ago.

oh, and lets not forget, on a WoW PvP server, to kill the oposing nation, you DONT have to be in a singled out map(Abyss), once again making the game seem linear, to pvp you must go HERE to do this you must go HERE and so on, to fly you must go HERE. Aion is half a game like i said before.

@999qqoopo u know theres useually 80-120 people on Wintergrasp and thats the biggest one there isnt 200 players on one map and also give aion time its pretty new and tbh WoW got worse after its expansions lets just wait until this realeases an expansion and actually say weither its better or not and i bet ur a WotLK tard thats never played vinilla or BC

@l1ga1 I How does WoW suck, its a very successful Game with 14 million players, I understand the people who watched this vid are more of a Fan of Aion, i never stated it was a terrible game either, it just seems to me that Blizzard is more succesful right now and has more to offer to an MMO game to suite the average online gamers needs. it could be the quality of this video, but i think wows Fps and video is better too. It also seems to me that this is a more slower moving pace in pvp.

@sylar1989 Not really no I mean the two sides are actually from the same race. Their physical features changed due to the surroundings they lived. The Elyos lived in a paradise of trees and beautiful light while the Asmodians lived in a dark and harsh environment leading them to grow claws instead of fingers.

Air pvp and graphics and quests and the gameplay.
The spells the skills is the new gameplay in this game The stealth fro massasins wow doesnt have.
The amazing flashy spells wow dont have.
Now tell me isnt it true that at lvl 80 you have 3 spells that looks exactly the same as your lvl 1-5 spells.
Now that is just sad that sure as hel lshows how lazy blizzard is.

For a start the assasin is against a templar, not a gladiator, the templar has provoking severe blow on her action bars, and no siesmic wave, unlike a gladiator :)

haha idk man. i use dash attack to keep pace with them along with sprint so i can continue to do dmg. i use poision and if they started getting ahead of me i just bust out the bow. which is funny becuase i have goten some kills with it in the air from ppl trying to run awai it was funny sad and satisfying.

it actually isnt turn-based in a textbook sense. games like this, where characters have time intervals in between attacks, arent turn-based. d&D and final fantasy are turn-based. games like this and guild wars are just mmorpgs

Dude, if you go by rates, then movies like the Godfather or games like Super Mario would be some of the stuff you view and play, no? Stop being an idiot, every game is different and appeals to you in one way or another.
Personally, I have yet to see a MMORPG with the PvP quality that Warhammer has (and I like bloody games with lots of war, pillaging, etc., so it rocks for me)... For PvE you could say WoW, but I got tired of the Desert > Forest > Moonscape change in scenarios/ unrealistic border
