  • "Britain is divided into four parts whereof one is inhabited by Englishmen, the other by Scots, the third by Welshmen and the fourth by CORNISH peoples" - Polydore Vergil, 1546. Cornwall is neither English nor part of England. See thisisnotengland dot yookay and cornishnotenglish dot yookay

  • get a life cornish fool. Ya nothing without english touist an our lovely pounds

  • You'd do more favours for the English cause if you could actually spell their language properly. You can't be English, because you can't speak it. ;)

  • im english and i agree

  • I suspect a fair bits happened since Polydore Virgil 1546. Particularly the act of union

  • "I suspect a fair bits happened since Polydore Virgil 1546. "

Yes. But many Cornish still do not consider themselves English, and the laws remain. If I didn't post that, you'd probably claim this was some recent invention.

    "Particularly the act of union"

    Which one?!

  • 1707

  • Fair enough... Just wasn't sure if you were referring to 1801, 1603, or the Welsh one, which happened at around the same time.

  • hell yeah, i don't consider myself english, and i hate it when all the emmits come down to newquay in the summer. grrrr crowding up all OUR breaks.
