  • "a nightmare!" anyone else catch that? ;)

  • I wanted to ride a toy train like the same scene in 6:20. I remember trying it, it didn't work out...

  • It took me 6 years to remember this movies name, and its NEMO! X0

  • Lol imagine parents reading letter," Gone to slumberland..." "Well that clears shit up doesnt it!!"

  • How did people get scared from this?

  • @Glamrgrl104 Did you ever see A Troll in Central Park? That's one of my favorites too.

  • I have no doubt that Nemo was totally tripping balls throughout this whole thing!

  • So this IS the movie that scared the crap out of me when I was little! Can't remember what scared me though. Guess I'll have to keep watching ;)

  • i don't know if i'd feel comfortable with a green-faced hobo lookin fellow telling me he could make my dreams come true...

  • Nemo at the wheel... AACK! Extreme Childhood Nostalgia! My only weakness...

  • lol, never trust a guy with a cigar!

  • @YoshiYummy lol

  • dirigibles are old maan mad in 1907 my momm wasnt even born

  • Does he have night terrors?

  • @ 2:27 its like Disney

  • PLEASE tell me you still have this on your computer and would LOVE to put it on Megaupload!? LOL I have looked EVERYWHERE for this movie, but I can't find it in a downloadable form.

  • did bon bon change clothes?...

  • I would of grabbed different clothes

  • Haha Mickey Rooney's voice was perfect for Flip! :)

  • Somehow Flip reminds me of the stereotypical used car salesman.

  • Flip reminds me of that Mathilda's dad

  • Oh god I wouldn't want to go to Slumberland if they greeted me like that..

    I'm scared of clowns o_o

  • as someone mentioned before, he wears a suit to go to a parade, but hes too "formal" to wear anything than pajaamas to the royal families place

  • "NIGHTMARELAND?!"

    "WAA?" *changes map*

"Oh, Slumberland, ok i trust you know. i wont listen to wat that other guy said and follow you just becuz u switched ur map" REALLY KID?!

  • Flip is a ...minstrel or "coon". That's kinda racist o_O

  • @Mynnia Don't be negligent of the fact this is based of a 1920's comic strip, which had a couple of racist implications at that time.

  • Oh god I hate seeing Japanese films and hearing the UNFITTING English voices xD

  • @Mynnia The english is perfect what are you talking about.

  • @Gakkonogakushu I talk about the English voices not quite fitting the finely tuned sentiments expressed in the animation.

  • I remember the upside down scene from when I was 3.

  • THOSE COOKIES LOOK FUCKING DELICIOUS!

  • Great movie...i was a lil grl watching this...now to find it again..i want my 2 kids to see it

  • I want a tiny train to ride around on.

  • 2:30 This is Slumberland? Omg, it's only the greatest nightmare! All those damn clowns!

  • HOW IS HIS MOM GOING TO BELIVE THE NOTE "gone to slumberland" if that were my kid I'd think he was nuts!!

  • OOOOOMMMMMFG!!!! THIS IS WHY IM SCARED OF CLOWNS!!!!!!!!

  • @xShiZukAx88 and the movie IT.. lol..

  • @biancadoss11 yes... that one was 2nd, but as a 4 year old boy watching this movie... flip was the reason starter of why i am scared of clowns, pennywise the clown just set my nightmares up to the sky with a big drop of spice

  • OMG i REALLY want to have this dream!!!!

  • Flip always reminded me of Homer Simpson.

  • The king disappeared.....He was out giving other little boys, "rides" on his magical white pony.

  • I love that he's in his jammies the whole movie. :)

  • is it just me or is the kid slightly retarded?

  • @guyonfire87 It's just you.

  • lol Can see the Miyazaki influence in plain sight. Nemo's character design reminds me of a character from Miyazaki films, the plane and dirigible models in Nemo's room (Miyazaki's trademark was his passion for aircraft) and now we have an actual dirigible which reminds me of the one from Kiki's delivery service. lol gotta luv Miyazaki.

  • lol stuff cookies in pockets

if the kind hadn't mentioned the door he wouldn't have brought it up to Flip and the door wouldn't have been opened when i was a kid and someone told me not to do something i would do it unless given reason to listen

  • WOWEY!!!!!!!

  • Absolute classic!

  • Absolute classic!

  • i love the train ride its like a roller coaster!!!!! :D

  • At the age of 21 I'm still freaked out by the nightmare.

  • @childoftrash You very well should be, the soul is the most vulnerable when asleep.

Imagine your worst nightmare and just think of encountering that dark creature and it becomes reality only to you, the horrors pouring forth from your mind to torment and hurt you.

  • the game is awesome and the movie.. my big bro used to watch it. im 12 and i love old vhs films :D

  • is flip Mickey Rooney?

  • @jusheather08

    Yep! :)

  • This is obviously telling kids to go on stranger's dirigibles and follow people who offer you treats.

  • how come ive never heard of this film!?!?!? o.O

  • I have a question can anyone tell me what kind of pjs that nemo is wearing?

  • @megazeroable All in one.

  • Dang this animation is epic! Bring it back.

  • yeah follow the fat cigar smoking clown, that's a great idea!

  • An obese clowning around idiot smoking a cigar that's also a jerk....

"Stay away from him my boy!"

I'm guessing most American kids never got that message before they grew up...

  • @Onlinepoetrycafe What a typical YoutTube commenter you are. You just couldn't resist the opportunity to make some contrived old insult about Americans.

  • welcome to DMT land, m'boy

  • This movie is every nightmare I ever had as a kid lol. Loved it, but it scared me half to death.

  • @IrukaKan true. especially the beginning with that trashed city. and then his mother not hearing him in the house. wth lol

  • @IrukaKan I thought I was the only one!! It scared the shit out of me man. And we used to watch it every week in day care, despite my pleads against it.

  • @wolfsrainokami when animation wasn't SHIT

fuck 3D that scene with Nemo sliding down the stairs was awesome! Goddamn I miss 2D

  • "you fly like an acrobat!"

why is that my most favorite line out of the whole movie? WHY?

  • 2:39 Nemo's name backwards is

    OMEN!

  • @Vladdyboy And if you flip it, it's OWEN

  • "Jeepers, we're going so HIGH!" You can say that again, kid. I wonder what they put in those cookies.......

  • Old good times... I Miss movies like this.

  • haha uncle paulie from rocky?

  • oh yeah i remember those two red eyes. they used to scare the shit out outta me when i was young but i always stayed glued to the tv. So happy this movie is on youtube.

  • this doesn't seem so bad. I have only seen this dubbed in finnish when i was kid. Finnish dub was so awkward

  • Omg, so many years since I saw this one!

    Sweet ^^,

  • I love these older animated movies: Little Nemo, The princess and the Goblin, We're Back, once upon a forest, swan princess, brave little toaster, and Pebble and the penguin. I haven't watched this since I was a little kid it brings back memories.

  • @Glamrgrl104 i agree with u they dont make good animated movies like they used to

  • @Glamrgrl104 OMG I love We're Back! My TV still has a VHS player lol I have it on video (retro right!). Don't forget The Secret of NIHM - awesome. thanks for bringing those up haha now I've got to go find them!

  • I hated Flip as a kid, and I hate him now.

  • Watched this when I was 4 or 5. And only found out the name again tonight. I always had recurring dreams about this place, but tonight I'm definitely going back to slumberland!

  • @RoryY0 Same! Except, i never got dreams about it unfortunately v.v

  • haha i love how the professor said search the garden! i'll search the palace! haha the guards have it easy.

  • @Mikiwaterdemen You know kings had HUGE gardens, right?

  • that girl has black eye's...

  • I just realized this is what south park spoofed on their Imaginationland mini series

  • Do you think he just dreaming all of this?

  • I've been googling this movie a few years back, glad I found it...brings back memories when my little one and I used to watch it over and over again for the nth time all week:-)

Awesome, loved it and still is:-)

  • Slumberland is such an awesome place

  • nemo + inception = more explanation for train scenes....

also both movies became a lot more terrifying

  • heyyy! Nemo spelled backwards is Omen! O_O

  • @morikahjo It's also Latin for "no one."

  • @phangirl91

And "Finding Nemo" was a wild goose chase. ;D

  • A very underrated movie indeed!

  • This is such a great movie, beautiful animation

  • "Slumberland"...psh, that's Imaginationland. You can't fool me.

  • Butters "Aw fellas, I'm pretty sure this guy wants to rape us"

  • this movie means so much to me i love it

  • ITS MIRRORED, CANNOT BE REMOVED AHAHAHA!

  • 5:39

Nemo's face was really cute :3

  • simply epic.

  • WHOA! Even when I saw the upside-down/inverted/flipped/hallway as a little kid, it STILL gets me! I mean...that's scary to open and walk through a door, expect a floor but what do ya get? A CEILING...since you're in an upside-down hallway.

  • Flip the Frightful Fellow.

    Nice alliteration there, Prof. Genius.

  • never trust a green faced clown!

  • At the part when they got at the wheel of the ship i just started singing the Imaginationland song.

  • This movie is exceptionally beautiful and breathtaking!

No wonder it would please adults and even teens, but kids...not so much because of the creepiness and intense moments it provides!! :D

<3 <3 <3 Thanks again for uploading it!!!

  • I wouldn't really be following Flip if I was told he was a bad guy, Icarus doesn't trust him, and he has a map to Nightmareland... but Mickey Rooney always pops up in the most random of movies.

  • 0:48 OH MY GOD IT'S CAP'N CRUNCH

  • the story wasnt initially intended for kids.. its a work of art. beautiful.

  • Search results for “little nemo poop” - about 26. Funny, I thought there'd be more. So much potential here.

  • um, Inception anyone? the hallway scene?? =p

  • um, him sliding down tht staircase like tht and then across the floor looked like a serious boo boo, and skid mark. in his pants XD

  • "Looks like something's loose..." Maybe your head...

  • at least the profeser guy told him to stay AWAY from the creepy ass clown on a cloud

  • JEEEEEEEEPPPPPPEEEERRRRRSSSSSS

  • Comment removed

  • @InsaneGrubbs99 I saw some toddler dry humping going on.

  • Those poor people Flip just sent plummeting to their daeths.

  • The Nightmare always scared the hell out of me when I was little.

  • 0:30 Imagination! Imaginaaaation!

  • I love this movie, the beautiful memories! So glad I can watch it again :)

  • This is an excellent movie for kids.

  • @mpope409 About as excellent as Black Cauldron.

  • I guess Nemo doesn't have a problem with clowns. XD

  • those cookies look yummy

  • "you're flip! you're a frightful fellow!" XD

  • Kurwa kiedys sie balem tej bajki :D

  • awe man, this movie brings me back to my childhood. this used to be my favorite. <3

  • He put them in his pocket that is so gross

  • He put them in his pocket that is so goes

  • even after years of watching this...The eyes of the nightmare still scare me....

  • lol this reminds me of Disney movies from the '50s

  • I keep on expecting to see Kirby... or NiGHTS.

  • did yall notice that flip has a perfectly rolled blunt in his mouth?...and he never dropped it even wit all the flips and shit he was doin. whatta G! lmao

  • Canned Heat would have done great music for this film.

  • has anyone read the original comic? the artwork is beautiful, but terribly, terribly racist. that green faced guy, flip? yeah, that's who they replaced all of the black-face stereotypes ("savages") with.

  • @harukosguitar I have never seen the comic but if it is similar to the movie I think they were doing more of portrayal of him having like the 5 o'clock shadow look but you might be right.

  • i couldn't find a decent picture online - but a friend of mine has a huge hardcover book of the original comics, and it makes the transition apparent. the "5 o'clock shadow" was originally the huge, white lips that you see with "black face". do a google images search of "little nemo comics" and you'll see what i mean.

  • @harukosguitar Man I was wondering why he looked like a clown-gorilla, the first thing I thought was black face because of the odd color choice between his mouth and face :O

  • @lychicambess i just have to say, that despite the comic's racist quality, the artwork is AMAZING. nowadays we have such shitty comics in the sunday pages..nemo, in movie, video game, or comic form was something that we were blessed with :D

  • @harukosguitar Yeah this is really well animated, as are a lot of media back in the day. Unfortunately "back in the day" for the comic wasn't all sunshine and butterflies! lol But REGARDLESSSS, I agree with you.

  • @harukosguitar Yeah, but it was 1905. Who wasn't racist back then? ;p

  • oooohhh, SLUMBERLAND. well of COURSE that's what you meant!

  • Geez, the death rate in slumber land must be astronomical with all the unstable environmental backgrounds.

  • So this kid dreams about being worshiped? Narcissist much?

  • I know he's supost to be asleep, but they could have designed some better PJ's for little Nemo. I mean seriously it looks like he's 3 years old and just took a dump in his pants.

  • how can i make a witty comment that will be voted teh hai for teh lulz?

  • i wod sade noooooo! to that invetención. slumber land look so magical and in slumder land lla the people are clown and i wod not believe the thing that guy sade and more if i read nigthmare land.

  • 5:56-6:06

    Oh man that would hurt.

Thank God that kid wasn't going through puberty.

  • Ooh, the train part is on of my favorite part of the dreams.

  • Nemo for him to have have a map to place call nightmare land should be a clue enough to tell you this guy is bad news, but hes a kid so i guess he doesnt know better

  • @WiiSage LOL thats what I was thinking too. You think it would set off an alarm.

  • IT'S THE NIGHTMARE. AND HE'S BACK FOR MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE! GITIM!

  • @weguess lol, Invader zim reference. Nice.

  • I hate flippin :(

He's the typical get-you-in-trouble-leave-you-to-drown character. If i were Nemo i'd kick him in the you-know-where and tell him to sod off!

  • I'm so glad i'm not the only one who was scared to death of this movie as a kid.

  • some of the people are dressed like clowns in this movie.

  • Scariest part of this movie.... the RED EYES in the background when the blimp is flying through the storm. Dear lord that scared me to death.

  • dude nightmare... fucking scariest shit when i was kid. I just had some nasty flashbacks haha

  • this had to have been one of my favorite cartoons when it came out as a kid growing up

  • when i first watched this and saw the scene of the ship in the clear cloud, i imagined nemo suddenly using his imagination to make reality (E.G he made the pretty white cloud extremely cold and chilly, Bon-Bon complaining about her non human like eyes and her ridiculous costume...)

  • I always loved the toy room scene :)

  • Flip a frightful fellow, forget you ever heard that name!

haha like anyone forget him after that! Flip was the best. I'm still scared of clowns today because of him! Thanks Professor Genius.

  • @alexisrg7 Actually that Map of Slumberland kind of reminds me of Maurauder's map from harry potter, come to think of it Nemo is kinda like Harry Potter and Princess is like Hermonie haha I never thought about that before.

  • @alexisrg7 Oh and how is it that Nemo didn't hurt his nuts while sliding down that staircase I'll never know. XD

  • @alexisrg7 because he doesnt have any, lets face it he uses words like jeepers

  • The bird looks a little like Jeremy from The Secret of NIMH

  • I havnt seen this movie in years, its a bit over the top with the kamp for me now but the animation is pretty darn fluide.

heh heh that giant crow looks like a stoned version of Jeremy from Secret of NIMH
