Thanks for posting I been carrying a lot of burdens since my parents got a divorence when i was 2 and this video put me in tears. Im 16 and I know now to give it all up to JESUS, let him take your burdens.
Such a talented young lady! Just saw her at Women of Faith in San Antonio and was really glad to see some meaty Christian drama performed by a talented actree. Thank you Father for people willing to share your gifts with others!
We all have baggage - some we keep in quiet places, some we hide in the recesses of our minds, some we keep in the cracks of our hearts, and some we act out in our lives. Come to HIM, he will carry your bags. AWESOME video.
Thank you so much for posting this. Even though it's only a snippet, it still gets the message across quite well. This meant so much to me when I saw it for the first time in the Revolve Tour and the message in it has stayed with me ever since. Thank you! Even though this video makes me cry, it's the good kind of tears, so thanks soooooo much for posting this. :)
Thank you for sharing this. My parents split after years of garbage when I was 15. I'm 27 now and have been running a group at my church for teenagers who are experiencing the divorce of their parents. I'd like to show this.
I was at Revolve Sacramento in 2007 when they did this skit. it brought me to tears then and it still makes me want to cry today. i don't know why but i'm still having trouble being able to lay my baggage at His feet. it's definitely a process and not an easy one...
I was at Revolve 2007,too! This is the one thing that really stuck with me from that Revolve. And yeah, I'm still struggling with it, too. I think everyone does. But I'm glad I found this again.
As Catholics, we have a saying, "offer it up" whenever we feel burdened, unwanted, angry, upset, physically ill, depressed, even in cleaning the toilet, washing dishes or doing the laundry. Anything that we do throughout the day for others or just around the house, we "offer it up." That is the CROSS that God gives us. Praise the Lord!
We can be assured of God's love because He gives us a cross to carry.
Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment on "Baggage." We are so glad this sketch has been meaningful for so many and brought encouragement to so many young women. Please keep your thoughts coming. It means so much to Nicole and our Fresh Brewed Life team.
I saw this last year at the Revolve Tour and it was the most moving thing I have ever seen! I searched the internet for it for months afterward and have told everyone about it! Bravo! It is SO much better in its entirety, though! IS the whole thing available anywhere?
i saw this last year and it made me cry. I saw it again today, and it made me cry harder than the last time. I just can't understand how people can live without God. I can't imagine how much harder life would be if i thought i had to bear everything life throws at me alone.
Is there anyway i can purchase a copy of the entire skit? I was at the Revolve tour in Portland last year and this skit knocked my socks off. I have been trying to track down a copy of this to share with my sister.
Amazing. It seems the struggles of teenagers go so unnoticed in society today. Nicole has an amazing vision and hopefully this will reach the hearts that need this comfort.
Speaks clearly of what many youth these days are feeling and how we often add to their burdens, instead of leading them to the one who can truly take away the pain.
wait a minute?! Isnt the shorter guy in Julian Smiths videos?! He looks really familiar!
