Personally I don't think anyone over 230-240 should be on a horse...unless its a draft cross, and even a that, I wouldn't put some one pushin 300 on any horse..draft or not. So as long as those boys were under 240...then they were fine in my opinion :)
Having said that, a 220lb rider with balance and a correct position is easier on a horses back that a 120lb rider with crap balance and terrible position.
@hayleyclarke I'm 13 and weigh about 150-160, not because I'm a lazy girl but because it's in my genes. I ride horses, I'm getting one this summer and they're all perfectly fine with me on their backs.
Maybe you should lower your expectations in people if you're going to be so judgemental, not everyone's perfect.
Standardbreds are too classy to be riding on their backs...brings them down into the depraved depths of pleasure rider hell...lol.
