Ayers rock is soooooo underwhelming and totally NOT worth the very long trip. It's not even worth going even if you live in Australia. Really, it is crap.
- Climbing Uluru isn’t really illegal, but it’s discrimination to the local aboriginal people, because Uluru is a sacred area. The aboriginals believe a lot in spirits. They believe that, when you die your spirit will live on inside of Uluru. So when you climb Uluru, you actually step on the old aboriginal ancestors.
But, today it’s a great opportunity to get tourism, a lot are climbing the rock and don’t think of the old spiritual stories that lie buried in this sacred area.
I'm Australian and you should definitely climb Ayers rock. People who are discouraging it are motivated by political correctness. Ayers Rock belongs to ALL Australians not just Aborigines. All tourists should climb it as a matter of principle to take a personal stand against political correctness.
Was at Uluru last month. Stunning landscape. I have attached a video response for some of that time including the Uluru sunrise. My take on the Uluru sunset is on another clip as part of the tour of Kings Canyon.
Beautiful. It will always be Ayers Rock to me. Put there by God for all to enjoy. What a shame I will never get to climb it now I'm older and have the money and freedom to do it.
I lived there for about almost 3 years & despite being isolated , it was the best time of my life .. The place is AWSOME & every day waking up to a view of the ROCK ( it was always different ) was a special highlight ..During the rain / wet it`s unbeatable ..Rock ON !
the heritage and culture behind it is amazing, aboriginals lived for hundreds and hundreds of years of the land, its some of the harshest terrain in the world
well done mate! I shot this video response a fiew days after you! funny isnt it. It's not as still and it's shot 4/3 but it's same thing! so enjoy. See you.

Billy Meier has no knowledge of it being an artificial monument. It probably is a meteor that is laying on the surface of a gigantic crater.
