One more thing. The Palin embezzlement thing is nothing more then another media hoax. All the various media outlets called it a "potential reason" for her stepping down from office, and charges would come out in 2 weeks. It's been over 4 months, and of course absolutely nothing has come of this allegation. Everything is dated July 3-4 Nothing more recent. This doesn't matter. The sheeple saw it and believed it. I fully expect to have a "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" bumper sticker in 2012

I didn't say everyone, and I didn't say he'd weaken our military. Quite the opposite actually, his military buildup and the ongoing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, wherever else we happen to be, but because of that, we would actually start to pose a threat to China and that would prompt a Chinese attack, they would then ally themselves with Iran, Venezuela, Pakistan, North Korea, etc. and we'd have some kind of enourmous nuclear standoff on the scale of US/USSR in the 50's - 80's.

Hey y'know, I think the fact that we're in Afghanistan shows that the US is, as a superpower, at death's door. The last people to take all of Afghanistan were the Greeks under Alexander the Great. Chew on that for a while. The USSR lost its standing as a superpower after it invaded Afghanistan, so did ancient Persia and Sassanid Persia, it's inevitable that any superpower that invades Afghanistan will soon be just another nation.

I didn't say I wanted it to happen, I'm just saying it's GOING to happen. There is no way to win a war in or on Afghanistan even with our technology, you would need literally millions of ground troops, an airforce with the size of China's and with the per capita abilities of Israel's. As is, no world power will win Afghanistan without the support of all the others. If we had Russia, China, and the whole of NATO with us we would've won by now, but we don't have China or Russia, or all of NATO.

All politics aside there are far better candidates for the prize. There are people who have dedicated their lives to noble causes who did not receive the award. Awards should definitely be given based on results and not expectations. Although Obama may very well deserve this award in the future, he got it way to early. I guess we will have to wait and see if he can fulfill his promises.

Just that last line bugs me a bit. I understand that the only problem with Obama is that he's "taking his time" or that he "should have done more by now". Well while the nobel prize was a little early, gotta give Obama credit though because he got shit rolling.The day after he was elected he had a meeting with GM, Ford, and Chrysler to see what needed to be done in order to save the auto industry. If it weren't for him doing that, I think we would pretty much be S.O.L right now. Alot of people seem to forget that the auto industry is the backbone of this country.
