  • Thank you SOO much. I learned a few basics from a person at MonkeySee, but you are a great teacher. I've never even danced anymore than in my bedroom with a radio, I want to learn to swing for a girl, and there are a lot of things that I don't know. I didn't even look at the mirror the first time, but then you said you give her a little push and I saw in the mirror you doing that. THANK YOU soo much, these videos are a great help for me.

  • I go to you for lindy hop instruction...thanks

  • expert?? haha wtf

  • Thanks Spencer, I find the videos fantastic and very informative. I've learned a lot. You are a great teacher, I really appreciate your concise, enthusiastic instructions.

  • Hi all, I had no influence over the camera you guys, but I do like the feedback.

    Spencer

  • Why do yo not show the footwork. You should rework the carera

  • Position the camera so you can actually see the footwork

  • I think it's that way because you can also see him in the mirror, and you've seen the footwork already a few times. besides, it's less about footwork in swing and more about the hips, posture, and direction (social dance tends to be that way)

  • @demonforeveryday What are you talking about? Footwork has everything to do with Lindy. lol That's why they call it the Lindy Hop and not the Lindy Hip. 6 and 8 count basics is the foundation.

  • @jarrett2005x I'm not saying it isn't about footwork at all. It's not about strict footwork though. Footwork comes with knowing what order and pace and generally where you need to position yourself; it is not as precise as a lot of ballroom dancing. Foot placement is supposed to come with good posture, and the most complicated part is knowing your count...

  • @demonforeveryday I see what you're saying. Yes of course. Footwork is just the foundation and what you do beyond that is up to the individual, as long as you still maintain that count you're gonna be fine with your partner.

  • Not cool, people. Just appreciate the fact that these dancers are willing to take the time to show you how to do the moves.
