  • I notice that in different videos you sometimes use a foundation brush and sometimes you just use your hands. Is there a difference in look or texture or is it just what you have around>?? thanks love your vids!!!

  • I love this makeup look! Its totally up my street!

  • u have got the most amazing piercing blue eyes. wow i so wish i looked like u do. ur tutorials r amazin!! the best on u tube, so thanku x :-)

  • I love this look! It's a great rocker look if you don't wanna be too perfect with make up. But for a rock star, its not about the glam sometimes. Anyways, great look-I'm definitely trying out this one. Good job :)

  • when she is applying the blush she looks just stunning!! i wish i had her eyes! anyways ill try this look!

  • i totally love ur brows!

  • i LOVE how your eyes look with this kinda makeup, the colour is sooo vibrant, just stunning! i really cant do this, i mean i can, but my eyes are hazel and they just dont pop out as much, i just look too ordinary or like a vampire hahaah, you are really lucky!

  • Hate it? I dont know how many times I've been wearing this look to go out! lol....

  • You look like a mix of 2 models :

    Behati Prinsloo

    &

    Helena christensen

  • CAN U DO A TUTORIAL ON ROBERTO CAVALLI MAKEUP???...ITS PHENOMENAL...

  • I love watching you.You are always amaze me how deep is your knowledge ab make-up.No matter what kind of make-up u doing you doing perfect&i learn from you.Thank you:)

  • prettiest face ever :D <3 love the look

  • This look makes you look about 17.

  • The orange makes the blue in your eyes look awesome!! gorgeous as usual!!

  • you can make anything look amazing!! loved the look x

  • i'm having trouble with this look because the color seems to totally fade during the day... should i use a primer?

  • @lopato3 YES!! if everybody who wore eyeshadow used a primer, the world would be a better place.. (kinda)

  • @lopato3 you could also use a concealer instead of a primer. do you have oily skin?

  • @Induktionsherd i actually have pretty dry skin, but even when i use a primer i have a ton of creasing and then it comes off. i'm now thinking it's the product i'm using... smashbox?

  • i love all your tutorials, but i think that the sepia color makes a bad effect on the eye with the black shadow... it scares a little bit , i think that grunge make up will look much better if you put some brown mixed with orange, not sepia, but it's only my opinion i'm not a make up artist.

  • You are pretty, talented, and I have nothing against your tutorials but about this look.. this orange on the lids looks like diarrhea ... O_o

  • simple and beautiful. do you think orange colour fits with green eyes?

  • what does the max fix plus product do for the foundation?

basically im asking what difference does it make and what can it do to enhance the foundation?

    thanks :)

  • @sabrulz101 she answers this in the video. It makes the foundation more sheer. If you don't need as much coverage. She said to skip that step if you need more coverage. Basically it thins it out.

  • it may be simple, but this is one of the most amazing looks you've done

  • Lately I've been IN LOVE with rocker/grungy eyeshadow looks. But the thing is it only looks good up close since I have hazel eyes. From a distance it just looks too harsh and makes my eyes "sink in".

So while these looks are gorgeous, I think they are unfortunately only suited for lighter eyes like yours.

For the matter, it looks gorgeous on you.

  • Your videos are the best on makeup. And you're not irritating like some of the others on here! :)

  • If that jumped out of the dark, I would bash it hard, and run like fck !

  • Would earth or jewel tones work with this look too? I like it a lot. Very wearable. It looks fairly quick and easy.

  • Just realized, that this is the turtorial ive looked for since months. xD

Thanks again. Great job, i really love it. :')

  • Aww! *-* Love your eyes. The Make-up looks amazing. Thank you. :DD

  • I wasn't so sure where this was going at the first few minutes, but the result looks AMAZING!! Keep up the good work :D

  • the texture of that orange color is amazing

i loved this even before i clicked on it... i love the grunge look

  • Absolutely loved it! Your a genious!!

  • Love love love. And at no point was i ever thinking "what are you doing".

  • you are simply stunning... those eyes!

seriously, you can pull anything off!

  • gosh, THIS is.... AMAZING !!!

  • Ure still gorgeous with the orange e/s:) Is there an orange u could recommend for an NW45 skintone that would actually show up instead of bending in with my skin?

  • that orange suprisingly REALLLY brings out the blue in ur eyes. probably because its a contrasting color but at any rate it makes ur eyes AMAZING.. DEFF a look id wear on a day i wanted to make my eyes pop. :) good tuts. keep em comin u two~ <3 i love you!!!

  • i disagree i think orange looks amazing on you

    great job again!

  • u remind me of helena christensen - im from dk so thats a huge compliment :)

  • are you a model??

  • I can't believe how much you remind me of the woman from the show Sanctuary. It really is uncanny.

  • You're gorgeous! You honestly look like you belong on the runway :)

  • i've always loved that grungy, tired-ish look..it's super mysterious!

  • omg love it!! it's lovely on you actually

it's really cool if you want to go for that edgy look

  • HI!, What is the brand of your palette?

  • Your eyes look amazing with that make-up! And I really like your videos.

  • You look so good in the darker looks that you do.

  • So while listening to the news... someone said something about Climate Models..... which gave me this instant image in my head of models with makeup representing climates ...or seasons and weather..... Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, or even, Sunny, Cloudy, ThunderStorm, Snowing, Frozen, Windy, ..... Just kind of an interesting idea.

  • I adore, adore adore!

  • i like this though :)

  • you almost look like kate moss in this tutorial!! well done it looked SO good :]

  • this looks very brody dalle inspired

  • it looks REALLY good on you, but i hate when models wear it!

  • i couldnt take my look off from your eyes they looked absolutely goregous and so so so bluee! u should wear this kind of look more often it looks absolutelly stunning on you

sam! i totally miss your vlogs where you rant about a topic while you do makeup. i love seeing you come up with a makeup look on the spot. could we please have one of those videos one day?? :P i'd really appreciate it!

  • that look is scary :0

  • The eyes like kinda kristen stewarty. Me likey!!

  • i think using your finger for applying foundation is the best!!!!!!! i have used all kinds of foundation brushes and still the fingers are the best ==)

  • I was doing some research and I think that the sepia cream colour base was actually what they used in the show. :) Do you think I could still do the look with an orangeish shadow over a primer?

  • This is my kind of make up! It makes your eyes look crazy awesome too.

  • love this look! you are so fcking gorgeus!!!

  • Awesome!

  • i think its so unfair that you can pull EVERY SINGLE look off.. ha ha ha.. .. drop dead gorgeous! (no homo =P)

  • Love this look! Ur awesome!

  • Love, love, love this look! You look gorgeous in it! And it really makes your beautiful eye color pop. Another wonderful video.

  • your eyes are soooooooooooooooo pretty!

  • How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

(By the way, your eyes are so beautiful. Well, everything is beautiful, but I'm envious of your eyes.)

  • beautiful!! do you think this would be too harsh for a night look?

  • i actually really like this look, i wish i could pull it off, i've noticed after watching all of your videos that you pull off every single look you do, beautffully

  • Ooh i like the softer brow effect!!

  • i love these looks! thanks Sam!

  • Hi Sam, I loved this makeup so much that I did a research on the colours used on Alexander Wang A/W 2010 and it was actually the mid-tone sepia they used there as well. Good eyes ;) (and beautiful too). Thanks a lot for taking the time to do such great tutorials.

  • your eyes look great!

  • I think that would be cool with a gold metallic shadow to lol.weird but cool. Ur the only person I've seen who can pull off orange off the cat walk lol <3

  • do you have facebook account?

  • I just love this look! Thank you :)

  • Can this look be used on brown eyes, dark skin tone?

On your eyes it def looks great.

  • men it looks scary

  • I tried this and it came out pretty well, I mixed together a bit of Soft Ochre paintpot with an orangey/tan eyeshadow for a base and it worked good suprisingly. Still don't have the balls to wear it out but maybe one day!

  • I LOVE this look. I love the more alternative looks you do such as the Marla singer one. Looks fab on you with your bright blue eyes too. Thanks xx

  • awesome, love the make-up, what shows was this make-up featured in?

  • YOUR EYES LOOK FANTASTIC with that orange on'''

  • Gorgeous!Makeup that is not about conforming is the best ;)

  • darling, you got away with the orange eye shadow just fine!

  • I absolutely love it.

  • ang ganda ni sam! :-)

  • I might have to go get that clinique liner!

  • Yay! I was wondering when there'd be some new runway tutorials :) Thanks, can't wait for more!

  • I love this look, thank you so much for the tutorial! Your eyes really did pot with the brownish orange tones!

    Melanie

  • Two questions, what brush do you use for your concealer? It looks like a blending brush. Also, do you use whitening eye drops? Your eyes are so bright. Especially with the orange but in all the other videos as well. Thanks!

  • omg awful.... i love it and will try it on myself

  • I wish I could pull this off like you can! I love it!

  • Hi Sam, I've a question, :-) I've a bit of rosacea on my cheek and nose area, I tested several foundations from liquid to powder, from several brands (from cheapest to more expensive). Basically what happens is, I put on my foundation and the skin looks great, but after some minutes the redness shows ups, and then I avoid using blush completely because it only looks even more messy.

You have any advice? Any mistake I might be making with all foundations I tried! Sorry for the long comment.

  • @anitapequena If you get a green based concealer to put on the areas your rosacea shows then put your foundation over it you should be redness free. The green is opposite on the colourwheel so will combat the redness perfectly.

  • @deb1701 THanks so much for your answer, I was thinking about trying out MUFE's HD primer in green, since sometimes I have large areas of redness and also creamy concealers or correctors don't work very well in my oily skin. Have you tried this product before? Thanks again for your answer :-).

  • WOW I LOVE THIS LOOK!!!!!

&I loveeeee the use of the vaseline. Really pulls the look together.

  • What other color aside from orange would you try this look with? Perhaps a more neutral color for the day, because I love the black, but I always feel like its too much for the summer day look, but Im desparate to try something that would look good, but at the same time not look too heavy.

  • sam, you're so awesome! you can rock ANY look! :-)

  • Love this look and makes the colour of ur eyes realy stand out, gorgeous!

  • Fantastic as always! You are so talanted, Sam! I was wondering if maybe you could do a Studio 54 inspired look? I`m going to a Studio 54 themed party and I would be very thankful for some pointers. Thanks a lot!

  • What I really loved about this tutorial was that you could change the orange for any other colour and you'd still have a beautiful, wearable grungey look. Thank you.

  • really nice job sam loved it .^^

  • Rggh! You're so freaking gorgeous! The color combo reminds me of halloween, though, lol. But it still looks great!

  • youre fantastic

  • i really like this, its simple and pretty :)

  • I thought you looked fantastic. I really like the effect the two colors have together, especially paired with your eyes. It almost eerie yet so pretty.

I'm definitely one who would not be able to wear this look due to the orange. I will admit though that I envy it. :)

  • fab...i love it and ur hair is awesome .. very angelina jolie!!

  • I've never seen tutorials like this. This is really fashionable, you guys are the best I like this I like this alot, THANKS!

  • This reminds me of the look that I saw Kristen Stewart wear to the Baftas last year. I like it.

  • Wow the whites of your eyes just pop out with those colours! I can def see this on the catwalks with a tight oulled back bun or else crazy backcombed hair. Great work as always!

  • wonderful, thank you! Im going to try this on the weekend : )

  • I love when you do looks like this! Great Look. As always! And I also love that the technique is simple so the colors can be changes and it would still look good!

  • This is lovely.

  • Wow! That was certainly inspirational. I honestly was wondering what on earth you were up to at one point there, but in the end you made it look fabulous. Awe-inspiring! (and a great look to go with my brown cardi and beigey-brown jeans, me thinks. Thanks for that! ;0) )
