I love Doug, seen him twice now. But his voice just doesn't suit this era of Elvis' voice. Had E recorded this in '74, it would have sounded like this.

During the 60's his voice was silky smooth, and so light. There were non of the deepness that his 70's voice had, unless he really sang his lungs out.

Still a great rendition, tho.
