  • every thing you did was hard so i couldn't do one single thing to my ps2

  • Thank you very much. I did everything as you said and works perfectly. Also improved it the games compatibility

  • hey, thanks man for the support it worked with ulaunch and i can load OPL and iso's over network. many thanks

  • I can run many games on network shared PC. But I found that the loading time is quite slow when compare with reading from disc. I don't know if this is because my PC shared via wireless network or not. Any suggestion?

I am using net-book Acer Aspire one 522 C-50 with TP-LINK TD-W901G router. OS: Windows 7 starter edition.

  • @songkiet Wireless tends to be slower than Cable connections, so that is surely the Problem with the loading times, but if you would use a USB HD it wouldnt be any better. Since the PS2s USB is just as slow. The network thing is the fastest one in my opinion.

  • Yes its true and well I am surprised well enough when he played Track Mania on Computer last Year.He rocks with God of War, NFS Underground . Bytheway he is turning only 3 next March 2012 to ur surprise.

Check my video uploaded just now.

  • Thanks for your quick reply, I will definitively give a try when I' m back home and work around to see If I can make it out. Bye the way, Can u suggest me any adventure games for kid,Kevin of 4 years. My wife scolds me of letting him play God of War which is well above his age. I have God Hand, GT 3,4 Van Helsin Trasnformers -Rise Burn out Call of Duty REvi 4 Dragon Ball Jak Dexter, combat racing NFS- under carbon, most Dora crystal king
  • @johnwesleypaul I am surprised your 4 Year old can handle a controller at all. Most of those games are really not for him. You should look for some Crash Bandicoot titles, Kingdom Hearts and Spyro the Dragon. Those are the only ones that come to mind at the moment.

  • @johnwesleypaul I know I am late, but Part 3 is up. You should check out Part 4 of the Video, because I explain how you can Boot up Ulaunch without needing any Disc. Also I show how to use Skins. So let me know if it helped.

  • Thanks, but how do I use UlaunchELF when it wont boot with FMCB.

If it is not booted up with FMCB will it still show the other options like SMS

U launch, HD loader. I guess no.

Shall I buy a memory card reader for PS2 and over write BOOT.ELF file with that of Ulaunch.ELF or with openPS loader.ELF renamed as BOOT.ELF.

I am confused if it mess up my chip or console.

My technicina suggested to ignore loading from network and install a hard disk half the cost of PS2 .

    Please suggest

  • @johnwesleypaul Installing a Hard Disk in a Slim PS2 is possible, but it looks like crap. You can set ULaunchELF to have shortcuts right at the beginning and there are also Skins availiable for it. So it is really much like FMCB, it just doesnt look as pretty. You can download a already burnable CD version here: sksapps.com/launchers/uLaunchELF_v4.40_CD.zip (careful, I needed to put spaces in the link so Youtube wont block me)

  • I downloaded the .zip file which is of only 4.06 MB and extracted it.

To my surprise it is 1.25 GB and 3 files

    ulaunchelf440.bin

    ulaunchelf440.cue

    ulaunchelf440.iso

I dont understand really that zipping it of 1.25 GB can compress it to as low as 4 MB really.any comments

  • @johnwesleypaul itsok i found the info here

    youtube.com/watch?v=5NQwrcKRvuA

  • @johnwesleypaul In order for the PS2 to accept the Disc, it needs to have a certain Data Volume. This Data is nothing but zeros and gets therefor cut when zipping the file resulting in a huge difference in size.

  • @johnwesleypaul scratch that, the link has no spaces. I just needed to remove the beginning.

  • Well my question is,Will FMCB work with SCPH-9004 CB modded with Infinity chip.

If so I can make the CD and the have the boot menu options.(HDloader, ELF etc.)

  • @johnwesleypaul You will have to do the Installation and see. The 9x series is blocked against FMCB, but since your PS2 is modded I just dont know. You can use UlaunchELF to load Programms and make Shortcuts right at the start of the Programm too. Its not as pretty as FMCB, but it works very well.

  • hi,

i have a PS2 slim purchased few weeks earlier for my kid .Modded with Matrix infinity and startup shows matrix infinity 1.93.Plays well with backedup DVD's.

I came to know that I can save my laser lens by loading iso images from network using openPS2loader.

I can't get my pendrive (FAT32) to be detected by slim drive Boot mode selected as DEV1, DEV2,Auto

If I put DVD it runs flawlessly. Please help as my son keeps on damaging the DVD's

and I need to write all of them again and again. !!

  • @johnwesleypaul The PS2 is very picky when it comes to burned DVDs and USB Drives. You need to find a USB drive that the PS2 will accept, then put the OpenPS2Loader on it and start it up with the Matrix menu. When you follow the configurations from this video you shouldnt encounter any more problems. If you need more help just ask. :)

There are no rules as to which USB drives the PS2 accepts and which not, apparently the cheaper the stick the more probable it will work.

  • @maximumrisk2004 :I copied "OPNPS2LD.ELF" to fmtd FAT32 ( Kingston 8GB, Transcend 8GB, Sandisk 8GB).

Found only 2 options Browser and system configuration.

selected browser then only memory card. No other media.

Tried making PS2 loader folder as an iso image to write on DVD , burned alcho120 ps2 frmt.blank screen when I select iDVD

For any soft like HD loader , openPS2loader they should be on memory card along with mcboot if it is not modded to my knowledge.Am I correct

    plzHelp me out withthis

  • @johnwesleypaul This is alot more complicated then I can explain in the comments. In order to use the Infinity Chip this way you need to Burn a CD in a special way with this ELF File on it, but there are rules you need to follow. Look on this site and try it: bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/disc.php

Otherwise I will do my best to put one together for you, but I have to work right now.

  • @johnwesleypaul Yes, but since you already got a Mod Chip installed and since its a new PS2, FMCB wont work. You will have to stick with the Chip and I will try to explain how to boot up software with it. I really need to upload part 3 of this Tutorial since I explain there what you need to do to save files on the Memorycard and back.

  • Win7 Was Out In 2010 ?

  • @minzi2047 Windows 7 was released October 22, 2009.

  • @maximumrisk2004 damn i'm old

  • More illegal acts of piracy.

  • @richkawaiipikachu Lesson number 1, dont talk shit to others about Piracy, when you are watching "My Little Pony" Episodes on an unofficial Youtube Channel.

  • @maximumrisk2004 holy shit you owned him xD

  • u look fucking retarted

  • @TheTroll275 You shouldnt be talking troll This guy was awesome enough to make the vid

  • @TheTroll275 hey you shouldn't be making retarded comments on here cuz when u do that u basically give urself away of how retarded you really are

  • IT SAYS NO ITEM

  • @TheTechnoAce Then it connected but cant find any Games in the Folder. So either you named it wrong or something is wrong with the Games inside. Did you Install the Games in that Folder with USBUtil, like I explained?

  • HD, 480p, 360o, 240p is the same

  • @KrunOO7 I did my best, so sorry if Youtube messed it up.

  • I have a External HDD connected to my computer via USB that is the HD shared to OPL

  • OPL Freezes in loading 1 like you said my configuration in OPL 0.7 is like this: Ps2 IP 192.168.0.10 MASK 255.255.255.0 GW 192.168 .0.2 PC IP 192.168.0.2 PORT 445 SHARE NAME PS2SMB Network startup automatic off Ok
  • @bonedicoot Looks like the same Setup I am using. As far as I know you can guess from the Numbers where the problem is. 1 Should mean that there is a problem with finding the PS2SMB folder. Did you write it in all big Letters as supposed to? The PS2 is very sensitive in those things.

  • @maximumrisk2004 Yes I Did that

  • @bonedicoot I guess you didnt change the preconfigured port and really did set your PC Network card to that IP. Any chance you have a password security in your Network settings? In case you have Windows 7, you need to open the "Network and Sharing Center" and then check the "Advanced Sharing settings". Make sure that File discovery is enabled and that password protection is dissabled.

  • @maximumrisk2004 I have windows 7 also and I did exactly the same thing you do in your video , i will try to change the ip of my pc and also the ip of ps2 to a diferent number.

  • @bonedicoot It must have something to do with your Computer. In order for the Count to get that far he already must have got a working connection to the computer. Something seems to be stopping the PS2 from accessing the Folder. Have you tried the PS2Loader from part1? It never worked with OPL, but I am just curios if something manages to get a working connection to your PS2. Maybe check my first Internet sharing Tutorial(for XP), it has alot of Networking Info that may help.

  • @maximumrisk2004 The Weird Thing is that I did the first step of how connect the ps2 with sms 2.9 but the second explication ps2 to pc and play I cant it didn't show my External HDD which is in Fat32

  • @bonedicoot I wish I could be of more help, but I told you everything important I could think of.

  • "it has to be ps2smb or opl won't recognise it..." kinda wrong way round... it has to match the name configured in opl...

  • @sjoerdbeuker Yes, but I dont want to confuse People with that. Besides that OPL is not the only one that uses PS2SMB. You can configure the SMS Mediaplayer to use it too and there you cant change the Foldername. So I just wanted to make it easy for any situation.

  • @maximumrisk2004 Yep i agree,

I tried a share like \\name of my nas\downloads\ps2games... but that was too much

opl doesn't like shares beond the givven share.

  • good jobb!!

  • good work maximumrisk2004

  • @maximumrisk2004 the part when you load the games

  • @Nuk3d720 Lol, yeah, thats intended that way by the Programmers. More or less bringing the PS2 back up to date if Sony is not going to do it.

  • @maximumrisk2004 can u stream netflix on it?

  • @TheRunescapeBot2010 Not that I know of.

  • @TheRunescapeBot2010 Just found out. Yes you can Stream Netflix on it and it appears to work well. Send me a message if you are still interrested.

  • @MAXIMUMUMRISK2004 the part when you load the games

  • Looks like ps3

  • @Nuk3d720 What looks like PS3?

  • @maximumrisk2004 The UI

  • Looks more like a PSP's old UI

  • @Cybercam3 Thats on purpose by the programmers. It is in some way a update to the PS2.

  • @MythzShadoWKiD The only thing you really need is the PS2Loader.ELF. Once you get your PS2 to start it there should be no more problems. There is a new version of the PS2 Loader where you have to change between Folders by pressing the Shoulder buttons from your PS2 controller. It took me some time finding that one out. :P

  • Thanks for good tutorial

  • man... i've been trying all day to play games from pc's hdd on mine ps2, and i borowed mc to a friend, so i had to burn a cd with uluncherelf.. then i put opnps2ld to usb... of course it took me 9h to figure all this out... i've got most help from you! thanks!!

  • dude u look wierd !

but u know what i like you so go crazy !LOL

  • @coldlmy1 isnt that how pedophiles lure their victims?

  • ahhh hillbilly

  • u are very smart but ur teeth are very bad. So what the hey hey. but its ok kk im is jus trollin yuz good ob on ya video

  • @maximumrisk2004 oh lol sorry.

  • @superkm101 No prob, I am actually really flattered if People think that. So thanks. :)

  • U looks like niko bellic in gta 4

  • @xaxa33333 your a fucking idiot no he doesnt does every russian sound like niko belic from gta really?

he sounds nothing like niko you ignorant fuck

  • @xaxa33333 XDDDD

  • can you copy the games it finds though the network onto a internal Hard Drive?? PS2FAT

  • @TheVGGP Technically Yes, but for that you need to use another methog than I am showing in this Video. I never had to Install Games on a Internal PS2 HDD, so I am not qualified to show you.

  • @maximumrisk2004 do you know what method it is or where i can find how to do it?

  • @TheVGGP Well, first off you need another ELF called HDAdvance. That one is specifically for internal drives. I assume you have the Network Adaptor that allows for the connection of a Harddrive. An Important thing about the Hard Drives is that they need to be set to Master with the Jumpers every HDD has on its back.

You can find great Tutorials here: sksapps. com/ index.php?page=hdadvance.html

I needed to Insert spaces to the link so Youtube will let me post.

  • @maximumrisk2004 will i still be able to use open ps2 loader to play my games?

  • @TheVGGP Sure, it actually should be able to play Games of the Internal HDD as well, I could never really check.

  • Nice for the 1st Time I got to play my game from a USB !! Thanks

  • Great Tutorial Thumbs Up ... I'm currently making a copy of my WE2007 (PES6) to a USB

  • oh where is that two fings?

  • thanks man i needed that. Thank you a lot :)

  • very sexy accent :)
