This version is a bit silly if you ask me. I prefer Julian's singing voice and songwriting. It's a shame he didn't have access to his father or the money that was left behind so that Sean could be glorified singing a song that he didn't even write. Julian got shafted and I don't think anyone can blame him for feeling bitter.
The older he gets the more he looks like John and I did not think that was possible. As a toddler he did not display any of John or Yoko's looks. I am glad his mother made sure to make music a part of his life whether or not it is a hobby or something else for him. Personally I do not think Sean would want to make a living doing what his father did. Music was such a huge part of John's life.

Although my original comment was a crude overstatement, if the thought of an original song is permanently associated with a bad cover, then you can say the original song, in your perception, is tainted. They took every bit of the rock and roll out. The reprise of the 1st verse is such a pale, wimpy reflection of the original that I felt sorry that Sean apparently can't feel the grit his Dad did. And that little emphasis on, "daisy chain" makes me a little nauseated.

John had a very distinctive voice, but it was very weak. He got away with it because he was a genius in every way. In many ways, Sean has a better and stronger voice than his father. Imagine everytime someone looks at you, they're measuring you against John Lennon. Frankly, everything we all come off bad. Without that measuring stick, Sean is very good and has the most to offer of the Beatle boys.

To tell you the truth, with all things considers, I think he is a spoiled brat. I made a video about him when he was very young, but after he got older he acted like everything is a privilege to him because he's a Lennon. Look at the videos of Julian talking about his father... You'll get a whole knew outlook on the whole situation...

Sean's not the world's worst singer. If you dont like him- why listen? Besides- its his own version of it- not exactly like the original. Julian doesnt do any John Lennon songs at all so be glad Sean does and honors his dad's memory

here's a thought, since Sean grew up with out his dad physically being there, do you think that he might have felt closer to him when he was doing his dad's and The Beatles music? Forget what he sounds like and think about what these songs could mean to him. If all I had left from my dad were stories and his music, I think I would sing it too.

John had a very distinctive voice, but it was very weak. He got away with it because he was a genius in every way. In many ways, Sean has a better and stronger voice than his father. Imagine everytime someone looks at you, they're measuring you against John Lennon. Frankly, everything we all come off bad. Without that measuring stick, Sean is very good and has the most to offer of the Beatle boys.

sounds good. Yes he sounds like a girl or a young kid. That works well though is shows a softer innocent side of the song. I like the more modern beat but I would have prefered a real drummer spicing it up. I would give it a B maybe B+. I like it.

He REALLY sounds like a girl. I'm assuming (hoping?) this was when he was a young child? Because I've heard some of his later stuff, and his voice is definitely not this high. I'm guessing he was maybe 12 or younger in this video. Honestly, I'm not real crazy about it, but he had a pretty good voice for a kid.

i would feel a bit sorry for him at this age, more than anything else. if you were him and being thrown in at the deep end (which im sure he was) then what else are you meant to do as an adolescent boy...
