  • King ...... unique.

  • Great song by The King. WASP does an excellent ballsy cover as well.

  • I've learned and appreciated more about ELVIS since his death than when he was alive and I was and idiot

  • This is the coolest video ever he is just so COOL!!!!

  • im only 18, and i love Elvis. His music was peppy and full of soul. Specially when he sang songs like Unchained Melody, My Way and Dont Cry Daddy. He could hit the low notes and coul belt out the high ones, he was a true singer not like people these days. He didnt have to have over powering music to cover up his voice. RIP Big E

  • Love Elvis, im 14 living in England, my dad is irish and a huge fan, so im proud of being a big fan of Elvis and wont let any1 say a bad word

  • I can remember being 13 in 1956. I am so glad you know that Elvis is amazing. He still amazes me in 2011. I listen to him every day and what is amazing to me is his music never gets old.He was is and will always be the best.

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!! Another song that should have been #1

  • never ever will be a singer as good as him again.

todays mucisans have to use equipment to make their voices sound better.

you can take a monkey these days and he'd win a grammy

  • This song is bombastic. I've got this song in my car. Everyone is cruising around with Hip Hop, So I just turn the volume up for elvis and promised land, this song never gets boring, I can listen to it for several hours on repeat!!

    Elvis, the true King!!

  • I'm gonna listen to this song till my ears starts bleed'n !

  • Smiles all over the place, There will never be another ELVIS!

  • The greatest Rock-N-Roll song ever in my humble opinion. I can't listen to this song without moving, a song that I can't help but smile when I hear it on the radio. Thanks for the music you left behind for those of us that were too late to hear it live.

  • @ElvisSpringsteenFan

If not the greatest it is in the top ten!

  • Very nicely done Igor, thank you..

  • Sure as she bore me, she bought me a silk suit,

    Put luggage in my hand,

And I woke up high over Alburquerque,

On a jet to the promised land.

Working on a T-bone steak a la carte,

Flying over to the golden state,

Ah when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes,

He would set us at the terminal gate.

WE STILL LOVE ELVIS, CUZ HE SET THE MARK -

  • If God asked me to give my own life to bring him back, I wouldnt hesitate 1 sec!!!! He touched so many people and affected millions when he was alive. Rock on Elvis!! May you live in our hearts forever!!!!

  • @pkjsclay Respect!

  • The TCB band, James Burton, John Wilkerson, Jerry Scheff, Glen Hardon and Ronnie Tutt

    George Vreeland Hill

  • I knew someone who said to me.. "Elvis was a bum ".

He was wearing dentures soon afterwards!

  • The song is about being on the road performing. And being away from home.

  • Can people please give me what they believe this song can be about? I am looking for all view points for an English project that I have.

  • Wicked song! Coooooooool!

  • really great song elvis rocks today tommorrow and forever, R.I.P ELVIS

  • Elvis really rocks!!!!!! =D

  • ELVIS--THE "ROCKERS ROCKER"!!!

  • ELVIS PRESLEY STILL ROCK'N IT!!!

  • Words and music by Chuck Berry. Elvis did "covering" as always.

  • At the time this song made n.14 in the top 20 list. So there were 13 song which were better...ahah

  • @greatbighand well it still is played alot today plus in movioes don't know anyone that don't like this song, if they do they do not know what music is, a number on the chart does not mean a thing

  • @lonelymikey55 Answer this, please: was this song played on the radio more at the time or release or nowadays? I'd bet it's the second. And that tells the whole story: Elvis RCA marketing sucked exactly as Parker's management.

  • some people

  • CHILLS !!! EVERY TIME !!!

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT THANKS GREAT JOB. THE ONE OND ONLY ELVIS PRESLEY NO OTHER CAN TAKE HIS PLACE. TCB 4 ELVIS IN TCB

  • Isn't this the song that Tommy Lee Jones plays on the 8-track player in the car in the first Men In Black movie?

Will Smith: You do know Elvis is dead, don't you?

Tommy Lee: Elvis ain't dead. He's just gone home.

  • @Kohntarkosz - it sure is :P

  • @Kohntarkosz yeah smae song, was a great movie and the way will smith said what he did was fantastic, a great song used in a few movies

  • @Kohntarkosz

    Yes it is!

  • @Kohntarkosz You are correct.

  • @Kohntarkosz - Yep, this is the song.

  • @Kohntarkosz Yes it is. Makes you want to take the T-Tops off and go 100mph down an old country road.

  • @Kohntarkosz yeap it is...

  • @Kohntarkosz That's right! This is the song! Go Elvis! :)

  • NO one, and I mean NO one, can ever turn an Elvis song into his/her own. He was unique to the point that there were then, and are today, NO peers whatsoever.

Thanks for the music E. RIP

  • A classic indeed...

  • American classic!!

  • @1943AngelEyes

I think he is saying: Aw get on. I took this to be his compliment to the musicians, who were rockin' like I have never heard before.

And I especially like to hear it too. :-))

  • ELVIS:::::La mera verga!

  • @madmexican007 Translation: The swingingest dick in tow.

  • @madmexican007

The swingingest singer and entertainer, yes. And I am sure you meant no harm, but please treat him with the ultimate respect he deserves. And let him RIP.

  • @sweetysue10 I just gave him the ultimate compliment........easy now!

  • @madmexican007

Yeah, I thought that's what you were really doing. I guess it's just that we all express ourselves differently.

BTW, I was so delighted to see this great response from you. Thanks a bunch!!

  • never was a big elvis fan,but this i love..

  • @funbunnymate

yeah, it really gets ya, doesn't it? I am an Elvis fan, and I only recently heard this one. It is my new favorite, which is saying a LOT. I play it in the car, and have sung along with it until I finally learned it. You would be amazed how many words there are, and how fast they come at you!!! :-)

  • ALWAYS ELVIS

  • The Fucking KING man, the king

  • Who said Elvis in The 70's was fat and couldn't Rock?

This was recorded in December 1973, released in 1974, top 10 in U.K. and top 20 in the US.

He was THE KING UNTIL THE VERY END

  • @Galoport

Yup, you are right on. And I would just add: and still is today. And if today's music is any indication, most likely will be forever.

BTW, for a confirmation of your very right-on point, I refer doubters to his "Unchained Melody," performed live at his last concert, in 1977.

  • @justphil101: I was born in 1975 so I never had the chance to see Elvis in concert. I think the only living rocker who is this much of a workhorse is Bruce Springsteen.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • @JKTube No offense but Bruce couldn't carry the King's jockstrap.

  • @extitan9: Bruce still does 4-hour+ marathons night after night and gives you more than your money's worth.

  • @JKTube Bruce may be The Boss but he is no King.

  • @TheREALforeverone MISSED WHATEVER WAS SAID CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT BRUCE YOUR TALKING ABOUT, JUST WANTING TO KNOW, ALL THE COMMENTS ARE NOT ON THIS PAGE, MISSED WHATEVER WAS SAID, THANKS, MIKE

  • WOW. Need I say more.

  • Is what we call Rock n' Roll and it is known why they call him the King

  • Elvis had the best guitar player in the world in the 70s/ James burton could not be touched. He also played for ricky skaggs who in and of himself is one of the best guitar player ever. Janes burton, albert lee, ray flacke, vince gill, ricky slaggs, danny datton. Country lead guitar is the hardest type of guitar to play. let any metal guiitar player try that stuff with no distortion to hide behind.
