Inderdaad een geweldige uitvoering van de Cantique. Ik heb hem zelf vaak gezongen in een koor. Maar ik ben ook benieuwd wat dit voor koor is en waar. GEWELDIG!!!!
hi! wow great version of this beautiful song. we have it on our youtube account as well. but i really like your version with piano only. in addition the accoustics of this hall seem to be really great to capture the audio.
what type of chorus is that and where are you from?
this was the 2007 AMIS Honor Music Festival. that's the Association for Music in International Schools, so it's a high school choir by audition from schools all over the world - something like 43 different nationalities/schools were represented.
This is a great interpretation. I did not like the distraction of picking up music during the intro. A rest has equal importance as a sung note. The piano part is not just background fluff but an integral part to the piece. Choir should remain in character from the very first note to the last.
we picked up our music because we went straight into this song from another (Eric Whitacre's "Little Birds"), which had a small bit of choreography, so it was memorized - this one wasn't. It's hard to memorize a full concert when the pieces are in Latin, German, French, Spanish, AND English :) i agree it is distracting, but just so you know there was a reason
Nice, well balanced and crystal clear singing, your conductor understood the message of the song perfectly, you shouldn't mind that your camera was fixed. Congratulations!
As far as I'm concerned, you don't need to apologize for the lack of visual interest in the video. Some such as I like the fact that there is no camera movement to distract from the beautiful music. The major companies that video classical performances have multiple cameras and every visual edited to perfection. Better no movement, I say, than badly planned and/or executed movement that takes away from the music.
we sang two songs consecutively without a break; the previous song, "birds" required movements where we had to put our binders down. Naturally, when we moved on to the next song, which is this one, we did not have time before the introduction to pick up the binders.
...verbe égal...notre unique espérance !Nous chantons cette merveille avec notre chœur Classichor!!! Cette version est magnifique ! Félicitations !!!

Nice performance. The sad thing is, is it too much to expect an audience not to cough during a concert or recital? Is it that hard to stifle a cough?
