  • Then Kinect is for you.

  • @ArwingPilot Slow is used for a frame by frame analysis of the DVD or VHS. That why they put it there.

I highly agree that they should put an up down left right button on DVD players, such as the one in the family room of my house.

  • M8, looking at that still of Fox is kindof creeping me out. lol

  • YES! YES YES YES!

    YOU ARE SO RIGHT!

I'm happy I'm not the only one with this problem.... I hear just fine, but I prefer subtitles... I think any gamer does.

  • True, but the problem with some of those games is that the letters can be the size of an ant, and that discriminates the slightly visually-impared.

  • Yeah, it's also annoying when the remote dies! If you have no batteries and have no money to get 'em, your screwed!

  • another famous Arwingpilot rant!

  • Try turning Closed Captains "on" on your t.v.

  • And what do you need for that? A remote control! that's the point of the rant: You need remote controls to do almost everything!

  • that is a good point Arwing! My VCR is annoying because you can accidentally turn on the on screen display with the remote, but then you can easily lose the remote and so you are stuck with an irritating OSD on the screen showing the tape counter! My TV remote is the same, settings etc need to be adjusted with the remote, only the channel and volume can be adjusted on the set itself.

  • Ya m8

I gots me a dvd player that when you insert a dvd it plays the episodes.

I TOTALLY agree with you..FUCKING PUT PLAY,PAUSE, UP, DOWN, NEXT, PREVIOUS LEFT RIGHT shit like that

  • or in your case m8 subtitles

  • Teh best Rant!

  • well said ;)

  • Super rants!

  • My Simpsons Season 6 Wont go to Subtitles Unless I go to the main menu Choose the Episodes Extras And Set up.

Because when I want to use subtitle its will give me like.

    6.---/---

But its fine for all other DVDs

  • Oh yeah, you misspelt your name in the title :P

  • You... I knew that! Of course I knew that! Don't be a wally ALL your life, cheet! XD

  • At least DVDs have subtitles unlike VHS. And I hate losing the controllers because when I do it takes me several minutes just to start playing something on my TV.

  • sometimes Video Cassette Tapes can have subtitles built into them (well at least the ones 1999 and after, though some TVs might have code built in for older tapes), I do recall watching a VHS tape of Lion King: Special Edition and it did have subtitles. But then again VHS is no longer supported so. But yea they definitively need to add those buttons on their DVD sets.

  • With VHS, you had to buy some subtitle decoder or something...

  • MAAAAAANDITORYYYYY CONTROOOOOOLLLLEEEEEEERRRRS MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, I hate losing remotes too D: sometimes they end up in the couch or under the couch...it's so hectic looking for them.

  • :'( am gald your back but sorry about the remote
