I don't think you should see it as if Apple are actually pushing the humanity forward right now... but more as an inspiration to these great personalities who did... And to get the word out that it's okay to "think different"
Apple always set the standard: todays iPhone and Mac OS X.. Its much ahead anything else "available" in the market.. Plus! its not stupid! They are well built "smart" machines always concerned about their users.. If you dont understand that, buy a mac and you will! Regards.
They are probably the only reason you have a mouse on your hand while you browse through these videos. The only reason your system user interface behaves in a friendly and intuitive and huma way. The only reson you ever had a floppy disk in your PC and the only reason you don't have it anymore.
They are probably the only reason why your cellphone will finally achieve its potential in the next few years and become the hub of your digital life and therefore change the way you deal with information, the web and other people. They didnt invent any of these things, their genius were in making them available for the masses, people like you.
This commercial still makes me tear up. Absolutely beautiful.
