In general most of the review is mostly informative without making many comparisons between IW and the original. Like most of the reviews of the game is generally praised and even called a worthy sucsessor to Deus Ex 1. Funny how opinions change huh? XD

@wtfronsson The title is German because PC Action is the name of the magazine, Deus Ex 2 : Invisible War is the name of the game and "Review" is also used in the German language. just as it is used in the English language. To cut a long story short, the title is in the same language as the video. But I agree, it's confusing that the Germans use so many English words in their language.

ingarsss, although what you you said was true, it really is a matter of opinion. Personally, I enjoy better gameplay in terms of graphics, physics, ect.

The problem is that they took out much of what made the first game so great. There is too much to say about it. But lets just say the "WOW" factor was quite lacking. It just seemed too straight forward and single minded. Story was alright, but come on, I need those weapon mods and in-depth computer hacking. Game was just too short in general.

The plot of IW wasn't bad, the different factions made it very interesting.

It was a good idea to allow you to choose which side to do missions for, though it wasn't very well developed as your actions would always come to the same finale, but DX 1 had the same problems.

I hated Dumier, cos he made no sense. If you kill Nicolette he still works with you & when he needs someone with Denton DNA, instead of using Klara he holds her hostage.

Both games were good, but flawed aswell.

Yeah DX2 was still better than most games. I dunno what it is, i felt alot more immersed in DX1, whether it just happened to be the story or the characters, I enjoy it a good bit more. Also last time I played through DX2 I got stuck in the very last level of cairo because i was forced to literally run my way through antarctica because I had no ammo, and then once in cairo still had no ammo and could never beat the game due to getting killed.

Remember that the 1st was MUCH older than IW, so yea the graphics and physics are better, but that's not what makes a great game for the hardcore Dues Ex fan. In-depth story line will win every time. And Difficulty? Really? I went through the whole game with only the damn toxic blade as my weapon on the hardest difficulty with no problem. The game just didn't make you think like the 1st one. Eventually turned into a pure console game in my eyes.
