  • Hey I have a question I'm more of new to the macbook pro universe I have a mbp 5,1 late 2008 edition with 2.8 ghz C2D do you think I could swap my logic board for a i7 of a newer gen ? Bc a friend is offering to part his new mbp out.. I've been loosing sleep over this and any input would be appreciated

  • @Niggamaster - No you can't.

  • @PowerbookMedic awww =( thanks i appreciate it.

  • @boogiebuddy01 - If you're working on an anti-static surface or are grounded it won't be a problem. Usually it won't be a problem even if you aren't unless you're rubbing your feet against the carpet while doing a repair ;)

  • @PowerbookMedic :( I tend to rub my feet and hands on the carpet a lot when I do these kinds of things...

  • Excuse me, 5 years old.

  • It is a 6 year old MBP. Long past warranty. Unlikely Apple would take it back now in any case.

  • Technology is so beautiful thumbs up to this video P.S I am to scared to do this to my macbook pro . XD

  • @youngswag803 If you change anything other than the HDD or the Memory, you violate your warranty. People who add a secondary HDD bay in their MBP violated their warranty and cannot return their product.
