  • A song that i can never get tired of singing.

  • evergreen! thats what i call this. i grew up wth songs from groups like cloud 7 , bongos ikwue, atomic bomb, peacock and co. yes i call it the good old days.

God bless you egwugwu for posting this.

  • Nice music...pls upload more of CLOUD 7

  • I like this song it reminds me of the old days back home.

  • This is about the best musical group Nigeria Has ever produced. thanks for the upload, brings back the good old days. I am quite fortunate to have witness their existence, likes, Felix liberty,Kris okotie, jide obi etc. music was then.

  • By some un-natural coincidence, and, or silent implication, this was the album of choice for the bachelors of the day in the 70's and 80's. A young man worth his mettle and commands a space of his own, and by a stroke of luck or hardwork owns a motorbike or a car must have this record. It seemed like a rite of passage for a guy coming of age. The B SIDE of the record is " Try As Much As You Can."

  • I remember this song as a teenager and absolutely loved it then. I recall that my Dad bought the record in those days but sadly someone pinched it. Thanks for putting it on youtube.

  • What has become of this type of music in West Africa? Don't we know romance any longer? Thanks guys for uploading this music.

  • you are the best......

  • God bless u this!

  • though am new in youtube, thx egwu especially for this good music am very happy to found this music dat my parent luv. i ve been in the state 4 some years am greatful to see this music it makes me feels as if am here wit my parents whom i ve missed so much. thx alot

  • Where are these guys now, I grew up to know them

  • @mosaicolu I believe all of them are late... Cliff David was the last survivor of the group, but he passed away in April 2009.

  • @oronbaba Thanks for this info. This album was released in 1979. Nigeria was then a Great Nation under the leadership of Head of State Olusegun Obasanjo. It's sad that Nigeria's best were in the past. And to all the members of cloud 7, MAY THEIR SOULS REST in PEACE. Thanks. I also thank you for your postings. I do enjoy them.

  • Nice old sckool thx 4 posting

  • How can i buy this album, please help me

  • This is my best love song ever. i played this song over and over in my secondary school years "70s. I love to beg. The best track of the Cloud 7 for me. I thank and appreciate this group for this song. Thanks for posting this song, man. Peace to you.

  • I have a song called beautiful woman so I had to check this out great.

  • Beautiful song, thank you! :)

  • Play

  • I love is song

  • We called this genre of music from nigeria disco-reggae, and I 'm from Sa Leone. It was a beautiful period musically, in the west african subregion - we listened with fervor to all types of songs. we never thought west africans will have the guts to develop beautiful, and competitive popuplar music like "fuel for love" in english. we are sooo proud of our nigerian bros for stepping to the plate! Thanks to all these fascinating talents for their artistic gifts to us and posterity!!!

  • long live ikeotuonye

  • this is group that put me back on my feet when i fall

anyone with CLOUD 7 track that the chrs goes thus

"you gat to try as much as you can, it may be your chance

keep on trying(keep on trying) try as much as you can, it may be your chance..."

PLEASE upload. i would be most GRATEFUL

  • yes bongos just to say thank you, i'm sort of words.

  • For your attention "bacheera1", The Atomic Bomb album is from William Onyeabor and not by Cloud 7. That Onyeabor's album is widely available if you do your research properly online. It contains the tracks: Beautiful Baby, Better Change Your Mind, Atomic Bomb, Shame and I Need You All Life

  • bellissima.

  • Nigerian reggae way before the likes of Majek and the Mandators What happened to Tera Kota, he was one of the earliest pioneers of Nigerian reggae?

  • Fantastico

  • Earliest reggae influence on Nigerian music

  • @bandillero. Fire in Soweto by Sonny Okosun came out years before this piece.

I was in Lagos when this came out.

Lagos was TRULY the Center of excellence then. I played this record so much till all the grooves smoothen out.

Lets continue to play these real music. And do forget about the new generation Artists struggling to immitate these American gang rappers in their music. I call them "The Wannabees". I will never listen to the music of the Fakers. Thanks BANDILLERO.

  • @Bratzchic96 Sonny Okosuns' "Fire in Soweto" came out the year before Cloud 7's "Beautiful Woman" but Sonny had made a big reggae hit years earlier with "Help" in 1974.

  • It was recorded 1954 and release december 1955 by tony bennett

  • yea i remember EMI label record

  • It's one of my favorite sons in this time. But can you send us Beautiful lady of "Atomic bomb" too? Good stuff !!! Isn't it?

  • @egwugwu thanks for this song but i will like someone to upload this song too; SAINT EMMY: YOU GAME THIS FEELINGS, jide obi : front page news, IYKE PETERS : AM IN LOVE.

  • @TheAnointed65 I agree with you. Especially the Iyke Peters music...Ive been looking for his music for 10 years now

  • @bacheera1 For your attention The Atomic Bomb album is from William Onyeabor and not by Cloud 7. That Onyeabor's album is widely available if you do your research properly online. It contains the tracks: Beautiful Baby, Better Change Your Mind, Atomic Bomb, Shame and I Need You All Life

  • Egwugwu, you are gr8 man. thanks for being there 4 us. this is one of the ever green musics that reminds one of yester years, when lyrics led guys to buy records and not these rubbish that we hear today.

    sir Kings- london
