  • Start your torch, mount your horse!

Screw your courage to the sticking place!

We're counting on Gabby to lead the way!

Through a mist, through a woods,

    There exists a massive giant

Which is something that you don't see every day!

  • Its a classic movie for me but really the animation isnt that good.

  • @bonehardaggin don't you think it's pretty good for 1939???

  • @bonehardaggin

This is full of wrong, this was hella impressive for 1939 and it along with Fleischers other work is still quite impressive today, especially the little effects (lighting), the high amount of detail put into the backgrounds and the very ahead of its time use of rotoscoping, which the Fleischers also used to great effect in their Superman shorts.

  • I recall that animation being showed in Russia when I was six or smth.

Loved it. Thx a lot for sharing =)

  • 8:20 : very creative gag!!

  • @misslittleRoar haha thats a brilliant bit xD

  • Wow I haven't seen those three min of video. Wierd. I'm glad I got to see it. I love gabby's startled sound. lol 2:58.

  • wow it's an really old movie. it kinda reminds me the first Looney Tunes. Looney Tunes is awesome xD

  • This is way better than disney! Down with disney! Up with Fleisher...and Gabby!

  • @rodentluv I second that comment.

  • Gulliver's Travels was a hit at the time this came out. It was the next Fleischers animated feature "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" (which flopped at the box office) that cause the Fleischer Studios to go out of business.

  • Mr.Bug Goes to Town was released the second week of December,1941-when we had just gotten into WW II.few were in the mood to see funny cartoon movies then.

  • mmmmmm the little guy is......cute

  • hah, I forgot how they used his finger to tie the knot

  • the Fleischer brothers had already been well known for, like, Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, and Popeye. but, i didn't realize Paramount didn't really promote Gulliver's Travels back in those days. =S

  • i love this movie

    thanks for posting

  • hey! is that snow white at 53 seconds?

  • I never understood what up with the lilliput men gagging up the guy in the red pj's.

  • he was gonna yell to the other guy with the ear trumpet, an they didn't want him to wake gulliver up.

  • its like being attacked by REALLY big ants

  • Is Gabby the one with the green clothing, cuz if he is, he just rocks :D
