I'm a huge Ron Paul guy, but this phrasing on his foreign policy is one of the reasons why I didn't warm up to him in 2008.
You can't apply the golden rule when people are doing different things in different situations. For example...I wouldn't want someone to blow me up with a bomb, but I approve of Claus Stauffenberg trying to do that to Adolf Hitler. You have to take the person and situation into account, not just apply the golden rule. Anyway...Ron is right about everything else.

People who proclaim Ron is giving up the fight against terrorism could not be any more wrong. It may be hard to swallow for some people, but terrorism is a different type of beast that we cannot blast out with guns and bullets. People who proclaim Ron is giving up the fight against terrorism could not be any more wrong. It may be hard to swallow for some people, but terrorism is a different type of beast that we cannot blast out with guns and bullets. As a former neo-con, I know both sides of the argument, and I am voting for Ron Paul, we can no longer automatically support anything America does overseas just because "America is always right" because, unfortunately, we're not always.

now im not saying that Rudy is right, nor am i saying that Paul is right. Im saying that, they are both right and wrong. I agree with Paul that we should 'fight' them bye defending American soil. But like Rudy, i think they will attack us werever we are.
