  • Damn... Good thing you're ok!

  • One of the things to notice about this is how forgiving cycling is. Proceeding at a reasonable speed, with your fingers covering the brakes, you brought the bike to a stop in about a metre (I can spell it that way - I'm Canadian), diffusing a potentially lethal situation. If you had been driving a car, there would have been screeching tires, broken glass, airbags deploying, and insurance forms to fill out. Bikes are inherently safer than cars because it's easier to make them do what you intend.

  • ooooohhh that was close! glad nothing worse happened! take care!

  • Wow, thanks for sharing. Knowledge is power (and life)!

  • It's amazing, since I had a similar incident happen the other day. Went through a yellow light of a busy intersection but because of my hurry didn't see a left turning (with signal and all) truck. Luckily he saw me as he initiated the turn and stopped (started yelling at me though) I hope realizes we are both fools. So, don't rush, your life and quality of life isn't worth it. Just enjoy being on two wheels and keep the rubber to the road. Thanks for posting this.

  • damn, that was close, i can imagine it
