I've just realised that! hmm I wonder if there is an intentional connection? I don't think they are identical but from my memory they sound very similar. by the way the end music to sonic 2 is the same music that is on sonic's first ps3 game, i think called Sweet Dreams (the one with Akon in).

I had a dream that I got a Yamaha SGX 640 last night =/ that's way out of my range.
