  • Tchaikovsky estaba en las drogas

  • she is EXCELLENT!!!

  • She is simply playing this piece faster compared to other violinists, the scratching thing sounds so good to my ears, this movement of this concerto needs to reveal passion and intensity..from my point of view

  • Admire her passion and technique, but truly hate her performance. I miss that slight softness in Tschaikovskys works which she just does not have with all her scratching. Pity, could be a splendid performance without that!

  • WOW !!!

  • awesome quality

  • 15 personas estás locas!!!!! Janine Jansen te admiro!!!! *--*

  • This is absolutely the best of this violin concerto I have ever heard. She plays with total passion which comes through and invades the listener.

  • a lot of scratching

  • Goodness....

  • Her bow control is amazing

  • Ongelofelijk......

  • xD 0:29 El rostro del director: "Oh god, what i've done?"

  • how many posts will i make saying how much i love her? :)

  • i think her beethoven and britten is amazing....now this is more amazing. And this piece suites her more than the beethoven. her britten is still better than this though.... Anyways did she play the harder version of this concerto? i am not familiar with violin concertos...anyone here care to enlighten me? (i know multiple versions of this concerto exists..)

  • @Desmonddd2002 I am far from an expert but what I have read about this concerto is this. Tchaikovsky wrote this for the most prominent Russian violinist of the day who responded by saying, among other negative things, that the concerto was unplayable

due to it's difficulty. However, history has shown that the rewards of mastering this

concerto outweigh the hard work required to play it, I have heard it performed numerous times

and this is the only version that I have heard. Hope this helps.

  • Which orchestra is this?

  • Bellisimo! Ojala se siga fomentando y difundiendo la musica clasica!

  • Conspiracy! She didn't play the last note!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the way she is playing. I also like her face expression when she plays.

  • what a taste !!!!She is formidable !!!!!

  • This young lady is truly gifted. I've been listening to this concerto for 50 years; Oistrakh, Stern, Perlman, Heifetz, Josefiwicz, Chang, Von Otter, Bell, and others. Absolutely, this may be the best performance ever.

  • @lrbaseball15 you didn't listen enough times.

  • @mikakrstic

Wow, you'd be hell if you knew what you were talking about.

  • Wowzer Janine, KILLER playing, adored it. Thanks so much !!!

  • I can not listen to the LARK without remembering the beautiful ballet with Alvin Ayley choreographing and the only white dancer of the company doing the solo. Miss. Jansen is lovely to look at and the music ( mistic and misteriuse) is a bliss

  • ahh...I must have hit a nerve. Mika using his alter ego again to spread insults. Please answer this Mika Krstic: Why do you think people from Africa are "monkeys"? I have received confirmation from Telepictures Warner Bros they will investigate why one of their employees is spouting racist crap on youtube in their name. That is what you are Mika Krstic: a racist.

  • @gniffelaar And you are : a MONKEY! hahahaha

  • @gniffelaar He's strange isn't he. I tried having a normal email converstaion with the guy on proper etiquette on YT and he started spouting stuff. There are some real strange people on this YT--but more good ones, I'm glad to say.. Glad you called his number.

  • She made me smile

  • Hey Dani, you're loving a godness. This is a Morgana Girl, ie an untouchable person. S.H. Rumanien.

  • i love you janine jansen!!

  • Bad sound I agree. Her understanding of this peace is ignorant as well....shame, such a cute hairdo!

  • @windstorm1000 Right, so if you're not a violinist how do you know it is good??

  • Comment removed

  • The way she holds the violin seems uncomfortable... but she plays so brilliantly, that you really can not criticize! Her Tchaikovsky is out of this world. No one compares in my opinion... <3

  • @hyeinee Have you heard David Oistrakh playing Tchaikovsky? that is how you play : )

  • @hyeinee Of course no one compares, there is so many better performances. Itzak Perlman, David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan to name a few :)

  • SHUT UP ALL THE FUCKING DEAFS!!!! Start trying to LEARN how to LISTEN. Astonishing Interpretation and Composition.

  • @Atael You have to CHILL big time little mate. Racism? Look at you retard! Every second word is F%#k in your vocabulary. What does that tell me? Think little boy, learn and then maybe you can "talk over phone" with people.

  • @Atael Wow, you are convincing aren't you?

  • @mikakrstic what??? :S

The Mika Krstic who thinks people from Africa are "monkeys"? Do Tyra Banks and Warner Bros know their composer is posting racist drivel on youtube? They do now.

  • @gniffelaar Ok good : ) now go jump in the toilet and flush a lot, save yourself from your own misery.

  • @gniffelaar What??? YOU ARE A RACIST!!! CALLING AMERICANS FAGGOTS??? And you think that just beacause you're Suthafrican you have the right?? Shame on you and your people!!

  • she plays awfull

  • @firemoon00 She looks good though... But I agree her sound is pretty amateur

  • @mikakrstic are you kidding right?

  • @Atael No, are you?

  • @mikakrstic I just understand... you're deaf. Amateur sound? wtf are you talking about?

  • @Atael I guess you have no knowledge in violin music. That's ok : )

  • @mikakrstic hahahaha i'm composer mate, I had piano and composition studies at the conservatoire.. I bet that you suck at music, you talk just like the amateurs, let me put you there with a violin in front of all of these people to try playing the violin concerto from Britten with that perfection and passion... you make me laugh mate, where is your simplicity? your modesty? you know the word humble? I bet that you're a poor guy trying to make sound the violin in tune... sad mate.

  • @Atael You are a composer? WOW! can I get your autograph?? hahahahaha!! The truth is, I wasted time talking to a poor chubby and ugly guy who has Janine's pictures all over your room, don't you? Guess what, even she is out of your league "mate" :))!!

Oh btw, where are your amazing performing concerts online? just please don't say: I don't need any I'm that humble!! Then I'll really laugh hard you brit midget : ))

  • @mikakrstic you're such a fucking idiot... I hope that you change that mind buddy... and i'm not british, i'm from southamerica. I just can't understand why crap people like you are still alive. You should buy a fucking ear, and get some feelings buddy, you're a fucking shit with no feelings and any sense of art appreciation. You make my soul want to vomit. Really. Please go get some good arguments and then try to have a real answer, Unbrained Kid. How old are you? 9???

  • @Atael South Africa?? Oouch!!! Sorry mate, I thought your a faggy brit not a s.a. monkey. Now I really feel for you. Anyhow have fun wanking your monkey to the her posters on the wall and I'll worry about music : )))

Have you ever been in southamerica??? i'll be waiting for your answer. I know how to speak without descalifications man. Come on little boy, give me your number, i'll call you from Chile. If you want we can talk via skype or msn too. Please show me your arguments. Are you from USA? I'm smelling some racism and discrimination here.

  • @mikakrstic hahaha you're just having fun with all of these shit. Why do you need to take your anger about your life out on me??? Why do you use Youtube to do that? man, really, you've to know how to answer to a critical question and stop being a fucking idiot. Also, i think that the fucking monkeys are you in the usa, not all of you, obviusly, you have amazing people but sadly you're such a fag stupid unminded bitch that is just bothering with his arrogant shit and don't talking about the MUSIC

  • @mikakrstic about MUSIC MAN! why the fuck do you think this girl has a bad interpretation? if we are talking from musician to musician, please tell me something intelligent!!! did you study at some place no? do you know who is.. even.... Mahler??? haha man, just stop being a bitch and finally do you wanna know why you're the monkeys? please just stop to watch how is your country, you're THE CRYSIS of the world, everybody looking here to the beauty, the life that we live, the energy, the colors.

  • @mikakrstic We don't throw 2 planes to our highest buildings and kill lots of people to steal petroleum, we don't discrimante people by his colors and race!!! we live together, we feel about life and art, we avoid the fucking arrogance and egocentricity. We don't have an entire continent believing a ridicolous number of lies, we don't keep secrets, Now please do me a favor a fucking shut the fuck up.

  • @mikakrstic U know what Mom said: "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. " It also applys to YT--especially here, where comments can be miscontrued. And I would have thought, viewing the world's greatest music/artists that our set would be more civil to each other than the Nascar/action movie crowd. Know what I mean? You might just want to remove your offensive post before u offend a couple million more people (not your intention, right?)--then think on this.

  • @windstorm1000 oh, so you're threatening to people from youtube now? Get OUT of OUR youtube!!!

  • @windstorm1000 I don't have a mom. You are offending and rude, do you think your comments and threats won't be read in detail by the people from the top? Do you have any clue who you are trying to argue with? Think again

  • @windstorm1000 Last week at the new library Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

  • @mikakrstic is just that I feel she's being too rude with the violin. I think this movement should awake

a power sensation, When I listen to her I feel... very very angry...

  • @firemoon00 are you kidding right?

  • ... stop arguing... shut up! I'M TRYING TO LISTEN TO THIS PHENOMENAL PIECE!!! SHHHHHHH!

  • Let us remember: Behind every great violinist... is the rest of the orchestra!

  • @TheDoubbleBass .... otherwise it wouldn't fit on YouTube

  • sometimes I regret not choosing the violin to be my main instrument.

  • Janine Jansen never fails to impress. A fiery performance but always in good taste

  • She's not human, i tell you!

  • 07:30 best

  • SOOO ballsy!!!

  • @cozylummox Ballsy? You think she is a guy??

  • Bravisimo! Sublime!

  • This music is wonderful for use on a porn film

  • I LOVE YOU JANINE JANSEN!!!!

  • Extraordinario.

Como liga y hace el vibrato.

BRAVO, BRAVO JANINE and OLSO THE ORCHESTA.

  • just amazing

  • This is not the New York Philharmonic but the former Radio Symphony Ochestra Saarbrücken, now called Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, Conductor Christoph Poppen.

  • She crushed that concerto, no question, in every sense of the word! So many violinist look like the piece is eating them up ... she went after it like Venus Williams goes after a tennis match. Just unbelievable. It could have used a bit more schmaltz for my taste, but that's just nitpicking.

    Congratulations.

  • Wow! I am going to buy a CD. I can hardly wait for it . Can anyone tell me where this was, when & what orchestra?

  • I love how she has such of an original sound. I've never heard any violinist with the same type of sound.

  • by far the best interpretation of this concerto!

  • Janine, I was looking at you play the violin and every note I hear from you're performance is so sweet , that I repeat several times you show.GOD BLESS YOU

  • une perle d'entre les perles !

  • absolutely best performance of this concerto I ever heard played by a famous violinist. If I find better I'll write it right here. But till now I don't know anyone who recorded it better. Perlman, Vengerov, Oistrach, Mutter - all they all much worse than Jansen. IN TCHAIKOVSKY OF COURSE

  • Absolutely fantastic.

  • i have fallen madly in love with her!!!!

    She is AMAZING!!!

  • Look at the faces of the conductor and the first cellist during her solo introduction...

  • She's ok but probably not better than God

  • @serafinichess haha i like your comment

  • she has a certain understated electricity

  • the lady watching janine in 0:20 was like, "Dont be mad, please!" lol

  • This concerto needs balls, not pony tails

  • The high quality of the sound did do the musicians' efforts, and especially Janine, justice. A triumph!

  • If it sounded good and not SCRATCHY it wouldn't make a difference if she is playing with her teeth. As I said, the reason WHY it sounds scratchy is her posture. YES there are more great violinists such as Perlmann,Szeryng etc

Just to backup my statement, I've been playing violin for 30 years now and was among top 10 violinists in the world in 90's on Yehudi Menuhin violin competition.

I have a PHD and I am currently performing in LA and am a professor of violin in UCLA.

    Enough said.

  • @mikakrstic

Well your behavior does not seem to be professorial at all. Within science we never claim something is true purely based on authority but on the merits of the arguments, theory and observations. Claiming something from authority is therefore weak and in doing so you have indeed said enough.

  • @Elu112 First try to make some sense out your comments.

Someone with no authority means someone with "no authority". That would be you. That means you have no professional history in this field. Therefore, any argument with you is a loss of my time. But hey, go ahead and buy her CD. No one is stopping you from being just another mediocre, right?

  • @mikakrstic

If you fail to grasp the difference between making an argument from authority and being an authority. If you can't see the difference than you should not be allowed to hold the title you claim. However judging from the way you present your arguments, its obvious your claims are false.

  • @Elu112

Try judging someone at your amateur level and quit making a fool of yourself, please.

As I said, you can always buy her CD and satisfy your mediocre needs.

  • @Elu112

I bet you are the common case of someone that "fooled" around with music as a teenager, didn't do good so you had to work as an administrator at a music school or become a real estate agent. ; )

  • @mikakrstic

I believe you, still, apparently all of that doesn't really seem to make you a "better" human being. And besides, people with authority have made positive statements about Janine's playing, I actually knew some of them ;-)

  • @HBeale13 thrash/death metal, rebetika, rock, classical, breakcore, ethnic, dimotika, laïkó and much more....

    HHHHaaaaaaahhhaaaahhhahahahahahahahaaaaaaa

  • @HBeale13 You actually know them!?? Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, that is funny you're right!!!

  • @mikakrstic

I just knew you were going to respond, now, go on and post you insightfull and meaningfull replies to other people's uploads!

  • @HBeale13 No I'll leave that to amateurs that listen to thrash-ethnic and much more! Hahhhahhhaaaaaaa

  • Gosh, wht should I say??--It's just perfect!!

  • Hahahahaha

  • SHE'S SO MUSICAL

  • Oistrakh, Perlmann, Heifetz...is everyone having a loss of memory?? For a sec stop staring at her boobs...and listen! Not impressive.

  • @mikakrstic dude, ull agree that her music's way bigger than her boobies...

  • @lokoxlascuerdas Well they are kinda small you're right. Music? this is far from good music my friend.

  • Too much acting, not much music nor sound

  • I don't think you've heard good performances if this is the best you've heard. Oistrakh, Perlmann, Heifetz, that is a good performance. She is way behind those. She doesn'e even hold the violin the right way But I agree if you turn the sound off and watch it probably is visually the best unless you're gay :)

  • @mikakrstic I've played violin for 13 years and heard A LOT of performances and she is one of my favorites. There are more good violinists besides those three! Does is it even matter how she holds her violin as long as it sounds good and works for her?

  • I am and you?

  • asombroso,las cago maravilloso

  • Scratchy sound...

  • @mikakrstic R U serius???

  • You obviously don't play or know much about violin. It's all good man.

  • @mikakrstic she is amazing men!!!! one of the best performance i've ever heard

  • its meant to scratch at certain parts.... thats why its called colle'

  • bring it on!!!!

    my fav movement

  • Comment removed

  • Love it!

  • 9:38 Ecsatic!

  • I can listen to this performance 5 or 6 times a day and not get tired of it. Tchaikovsky seems to have the "get under the skin" creativity that makes you hum and sing the music while you're driving with the radio off.

  • She surely must be the best Violinplayer EVER

  • Also das letzte große Tutti ist ja nun eher peinlich.........

  • I can't believe that there are so many people saying: Classical Music is shit.

Damn God open up your horizons

  • She makes this concert be easy =) I love her!!!!

  • I love Janine.

  • @fcoclarinete Actually, i think they play better than men, also I'm a guy

  • not bad for a girl

  • What a fantastic performance! The face wipe at the end before offering her hand to the conductor is pure kid stuff! Naturally, the conductor wouldn't settle for that and wanted a kiss on the cheek. Can you see the passion in her playing where she brings Tchaikovsky to life? Not just notes on a page and not just another pretty face with a violin and bow.

  • I have no words...

  • First time I've seen this girl...SHE IS WONDERFUL!!!

  • hermosa mujer!!!

  • The only thing lacking in this video is coverage of the standing ovation she most assuredly received, which was probably comparable in length to that of the entire performance! I'm in tears...not to mention, in love :)

  • I love the passion and emotion Janine brings to her performances. She doesn't just play the notes, she makes them come alive. 12/12/2010

  • I think Janine knows how to play an antique Stradivarius a little bit. I could be wrong but she seems to be able to kinda play some, sorta, kinda! #LOL

My GAWD this woman is amazzzzzzzing! It would be impossible not to be amazed by her solos even if you absolutely HATED the violin!----I'm just sayin'......

  • @technocrash09 You speak the truth. I normally dislike most types of classical music, especially violin, but even I have to admit i enjoyed her playing.

  • @musicman24X That is very cool! I enjoy all types of music. I play piano and am trying to learn electric guitar (at 59 yo...I just love the sound of a heavy strat or telecaster!...David Gilmour is my favorite).

Janine is such a passionate player, she could probably play a washboard and bring tears to your eyes!

  • For the fisrt time I have no words strong enough for you Janine ! :-)

  • Greaaaat Janine!! My inspiration!!

  • wowwwwwwwwwwww *O*

i would like to be there *__*

  • caraio

  • i love her last note. seems like she wanted to finish with a bang but wasn't able to. very talented lady!

  • You should all watch the movie: Le Concert (imdb 7.5) this piece has an important role in it. It changed the way I experiance this concerto
