My granddaughter told me of a moment in school today. A young class mate asked her what was her religion? She said 'Jewish'; and her friend says , Why are we even friends?' I have never observed Judaism in my entire life... Nor has my family. Now, I am trying to plan our 'first' shabbat meal? I wish there was a learning annex course for the 'accidental jews' that I and my family happen to be? I thought I could just clean the kitchen and dining real hard and a bottle of Manechevitz?
