while speed guns were pretty non existent back then, my knowledge tells me that waqar bowled well above 150 clicks in his prime. the kind of reverse swing he got was something you only see at extreme speed. my bet would be ~155 km/h, but his average would be closer to ~145 km/h.

Waqar changed modern fast bowling. His reverse swing yorker redefined the standards and led to every other pace bowler trying to emulate that one delivery.

Watch any fast bowler after Waqar and they are all trying to bowl that late inswinging yorker but his was the original and the best.
