command: sudo/opt/lampp/lampp start doesnt work for me,, im trying to bridge my network,, WIndows XP with a virtualmashine (backtrack/ubuntu),, im thankfull if any can help me.
FYI the newer versions of VirtualBox have a feature that's built in to bridge with your existing physical connection. This includes both wired and wireless. I go into more detail on this in my Windows 7 and VirtualBox video.
hey bruh great video... ive manage to load backtrack 4 final on my vm box which is the latest version 3.xx.. i have everything installed but i cant ping my vm from my host.. The Vm has an IP address but my network interface isnt shown.. I dont know how to get it out of loopback... Any suggestions?
Thanks for this very much, I learned a lot! Didn't even know I had to bridge the connections manually in the Network Connections window when using bridged mode.
I'm wondering though, how can you allow the VM (guest) to connect to the network through WiFi but deny the host any access to internet?
