Thank you to whomever posted this- this song has been wandering through my mind for a awhile and not able to remember author! Still awesome!!! Sad to learn of rhe death of writer.singer.
Keith was the greatest guy in a public environment, especially to drink with, but he was so tortured. And not the nicest guy privately. But he did it all his way, right to his death.
I think this is the EP version- I have the album, and they rerecorded it, unfortunately (synths?!). The version I have sounds more like Bob Rock than punk rock. This song is the best Canadian punk song ever.
hey super cool!...you're absolutely right..they were from London...(Cedar Lounge?)...but like it or not all Ontario punk bands back then only seemed to be recognized in the T.O. scene...never the less...damn fine stuff!
Some members were born in England but the band formed in St. Thomas, Ontario - a town near Toronto. A cliche - Torontonians want to go to a really big city like NEW YORK!
One of the first punk bands I ever saw!Was the 'loft' actually a basement at The Cedar Hotel? 'The Boot" NOTHING here is lost on me. I DRANK with KEITH! I made this video as a tribute to his memory. I also owed him a drink. Proud Man. Justifiably so. Later he lived in Toronto - He was my neighbour in the Market. You're a GREAT tourist! I KNOW! I miss him too :(
I knew a couple of guys and even play the odd gig with one of the later drummers Nick Perry . Great video , I would love LOVE to do that in N.Y.C through traffic
Can't drink Cutty Sark without thinking of him....;(

Saw them at the Waterloo Motor Inn for a university night around 1980. I think B.B. Gabor was on the same bill. Great fun!

The loft was a...loft...in downtown London.
The Demics later went on the play the Cedar Lounge "The Boot".
It's cool you made a tribute to Keith.
Did he ever tell you he fucking hated that song?
