In paper Mario ttyd you play as bowser but only for a short while

In super paper Mario you can switch back and forth between Mario peach bowser and luigi AKA Mr.L

Also in super paper mario bowser helps Mario

I'd say Paper Mario was better. It had a lot more depth to the story, and the characters were developed better. And the game required a lot more strategy.

SM64 was awesome too; and it made a revolutionary change to the series through adding 3D. And it introduced a whole new control scheme and graphic style into the series.

So Super Mario 64 was a more iconic game, and important to the series; but Paper Mario was the more well-rounded game.

What I was trying to do was compare them solely as video games, and provide reasons for why I thought one outweighed the other in certain areas. And even then, it's mostly an issue of personal opinion.

i like the 1st paper mario better than the second, the second one i thought was not as fun, adventurous, i mean the final boss isnt even bowser and your going through each chapter to rescue crystal stars which are just items, not like living things in the game, it was better rescuing star spirits, the only thing better about this game than the previous is that the graphics are much better, no doubt

He is really hard, but I have heard he can only be a little challenging if you have tons of overpowered badges and such.

If you mean why is he hard, then he is hard because his fire does like 10 and his other moves do 6-8. And the maximum HP for you is 50. If he uses the star rod and you doin't break it in time, his moves do like 15-20.

When I was little, he was hard. But I don't really think so, today. You can go to level 27 in Paper Mario, but I beat Bowser, at level 18. Have you ever played Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, for Gamecube? That game's last boss is a lot harder.

No way. This one is so much harder. The Shadow Queen is quite easy, actually. The final boss in TTYD should have been Bonetail. HE was the hardest for me.

The first one is harder for you? Well, I'm playing the first one right now, for the first time in 3-5 years and its quite easy. I'm on Chapter 5 and I'm smooth sailing. For curiosity sake, I went to my old file where I had already beaten the game. I refought Bowser at a low level of 18 and he wasn't too hard. At least with Shadow Queen you are afraid to die. I guess because with Shadow Queen, you have to sit through 60 minutes of dialogue cutscenes. If you die, you get pissed off.

@szlane well, he only does 20 if you wait to power him down (dumb idea as you can't damage him worth shit if he is in star mode), and shadow queen does 24 damage pretty much each turn when not guarded, and on top of that, she has more hp than bowser.
