  • @godzillamaster90

I know. It's scientific name is hycatherium, also known as Dawn horse. Poor little thing. His speed didn't do him any good this time

  • I think Walking With Prehistoric Beasts, a nine-year-old program, pretty much has this same scenario, but animated far better.

  • COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Eden no Ori

  • a chocobo!!

  • What genus was it?

  • hahaaaa wtf

  • youtube recommended this video to me, and i'm not sure why!

  • When giant birds attack

  • "Once dead, the flesh would've been ripped from the body".... Funny, I don't notice modern predatorial birds waiting for the thing to be fully dead before digging in. I wonder why prehistoric beasts would have been expected to. :-?

  • @OldKingSol They clearly had better manners. Modern day species just don't have the same amount of class as their ancestors...sigh.

  • I recommend reading the manga Cage of Eden if you want to learn more about prehistoric creatures!

  • @NFLMaster09 Oy, education from comics written as entertainment. Why am I not surprised?

  • @OldKingSol You're not very good at trolling kid.

  • @NFLMaster09 That's 'cuz I wasn't trolling, duh. ;-) I was being tongue-in-cheek, though - not entirely serious, iow.

    :-)

  • except the ones in that movie are cute

  • If you like large carnivorous ..uh...birds...lol

  • which i do

  • lol at was not bad nah :)

  • Gastornis was smaller than terror birds, yet they are heavier. ???

  • im 2 meters tall but there are fatasses that weigh far more than i do, although there much shorter...same concept basically ^^

  • yeah they hid it behind a rock, because it's too hard for them to make look realistic :p

  • the animation looks like it came from pixar

  • anyone else notice they hid the gore behind a rock?

  • @ShadowLivesonForever how convinient..

  • @666spawnofsatan666 yeah... :P

  • @ShadowLivesonForever That's not why. It looks like the quality of the models/program was too low for that stuff.

  • @MammothProductionInc that may be true...

  • i am a very large fan of these variety of giant birds

  • wow fake

  • Really? Are there more obvious facts you want to point out?

  • So, that's a t-rex? Well, at least his skeleton would look incredibly similar. His fossilized skeleton.

  • lol he just kicked it like a soccer ball!

  • so this was a gastornis?????

  • 0:55

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAL

  • Birds - 1

    Mammals - 0

  • your a mammal.

  • This Bird is any of these Three (Phorursrachus,Titanis,Diatryma) however i have reason to believe that Diatryma is the old name for Gastornis. Horrible Creatures Really Proper Viscous.

  • Titanis was later...

  • yes it is ironic BUT sooooo cool

  • you know what is ironic I was just thinking that birds are as we all know are the direct descendants of the DINOSAURS and that these giant birds had more in common with Dino's than today's birds and since these giant birds are the descendant of the Dinosaurs and at this time in earths history birds ruled the earth because they were the biggest creatures at the time we can say when birds ruled the earth Dinosaurs still ruled the earth!...( in a way)cool right!

  • WOW now that is giant bird power! cool DINOS RULE AND BIRDS RULE TO!

  • not real looking at all. they need to put more weight on the animals.

  • it,s scary to small horses

  • is that the 'terror bird'

  • yes its the terror bird!

  • no I believe it is Gastornis or something like that. but the terror bird lived during Silodon

  • sorry not Gastornis some other bird. forgot the name..

  • Phorusrachus?

  • no forgot how to spell it, It is Diatari correct my spelling someone.

  • Diatryma

  • thats the name I didn't know how to spell it.

  • LOL , it's hella funny when he kicks him, hahaha!

  • Back then on Thanks Giving Day the turkey ate YOU

  • ROTFL

  • it's not a gastornis ?

  • cool

  • This animation is from "Miricle planet".

The best thing from that series is the animation of late permian world.

    I'm seeking it now.

  • Notice at :53 it steps in the puddle and there is no splash...

And why the hell would the bloody Diatryma kick the thing?

  • i loved that part where the little mammal got kicked the second time. Its just like when I was a kid and had a toy animal and would "attack" it with my teddy bear. "Wham! ...and now I get to eachoo!"

  • boy they dont put in any special effects like footprints or dust in the air and i dont think diatryama and gastornis wouldve kicked thier prey and they didnt make the ground shake and I dont think the bird wouldve let its prey get away after knocking it down once.

  • HOLY SH!T when it got kicked i laughed so f*cken hard XD..

    it was all like RAWR>>

  • when kfc ruled the earth

  • @beautifulandsilent ha ha :)

  • @beautifulandsilent LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • walking with beasts has a much better reconstruction of how gastornis would have hunted down a early horse.

  • lol, and the horses got drunk xD

  • Lol he kicked it

  • i know!! i thought i was the only one who noticed that... that video was so graphic I screamed

  • I taped the show with that.

  • he really kicked it!

  • Prehistoric horse meat. Serving x about of Diatrymas everyday until their extinction.

  • it say they run as fast as humans now .....i think with there huge legs they will be much faster

  • Gool!

  • its a chocobo

  • lol, typical asian

  • Violent birdie, I don't like how it ate the poor deer. :3 Great animation though.

  • horse.

  • Ahhh its big bird run!!!

  • I would hate to have one of thoose as a pet...

THEY WOULD EAT MY DOG >:(

  • they would eat you too x]

  • bich ass bird

  • lol

  • lol

  • sorry im back im no longer crcrcr94 im giant squid 08 now

  • vaya un periquito más majo

  • at that time birds ruled the earth

  • is that for real?

  • sure is those birds in that time were the top predators until saber tooth cats came in

  • The English and New Zealanders did a better job with 'Walking With Dinosaurs, Beasts, etc'. than the Americans did with this 'When Dinosaurs Roamed' (shitty title too).

  • what a nice kick

  • Wow.. a White chocobo....

  • jajajaja that bird fuking kick the stupid ponny/dog

  • lmao the rock came out of nowhere

  • OWNED

  • This birdy can not be compared with the elephant bird!

  • I think thats a Phoracous

  • great, but i think walking with prehistoric beast's was better

  • omg hilarious the way it kikd it into a rok 2 kill it

the maker needs to see 'walking with beasts' episoe 1 -exact same but fuk better.

  • I'm a history teacher and the first ever birds that existed were origianally giant Vicious creatures called the archaeoptery who lived during the dinosaurs but in time they grew smaller until they became extinct like the dinosaurs. Then after the ice age you still got giant birds like the Tertiary and the elephant bird which both standed at 25 - 30 feet tall they were similar to the ostrich and emu you get today.

  • Archaeopteryx

  • Hmm. Well I hope you don't teach prehistoric "history," because the Archaeopteryx was only 50cm wide from wingtip to wingtip & weighed like 300 grams. There's no evidence to suggest they were ever any larger. But the later animals, like the Elephant Birds, were indeed larger.

  • Dammit! This was meant for Blackman2844 below

  • Oh propalaeotherium...So it is really Gastornis not Phorusracos

  • i also thought is was a diartyma...

  • Diatryma and Gastornis are the same... :)

  • it's the same as Gastornis, they just changed the name

  • Is that a phorusracos or gastornis/diatryma? (Gastornis and Diatryma are the same)

  • OMG!! and THEN you all go and say that the sea monsters vids look fake!!..

  • Looks very fake huh?

  • OMFG!! IT A CHOCOBO!!! from final fantasy 7 =D

  • i remeber that japanese bloke who wanted to find one of those alive today.luckly he didnt succeed for the safety of his skull

  • rofl that little horsey got killed

  • pwnt

  • heeeey..the rock wus in the way so I couldn't see the blood >3<

  • yh i was goin to say that

  • goooalll!!!!!

  • I taped the show with that
