It is funny when dogs howl to music, but i think it might be because it hurts their ears. we just have to remember not to play them around the dog too much. strangely, its only wind instruments. no matter how loud my guitar is turned up, he doesn't howl. my dog howls at my accordion and my saxophone when i play them.

I have always had a basset hound in my life except the past 6 years. My last one (Jake or Jakers) was the sweetest boy anyone could ever ask for. In Washington state on april fools day there is an entire parade for basset hounds called the Basset Bash. Bassets have the most beautiful Bay, and yea... the gag thing.

ok, whoever said that the accordian was hurting their ears is an idiot. yes, dogs ears are highly receptive to noise, but that does not mean that noise levels humans are used to are detrimental for dogs.
