you can use semolina or wheatlets, and use the same process as you would for matzoh balls, and it is a delicious addition to your soup,,,then you don,t have to buy such a huige pack of matzoh
I loved watching your rendition. I am going to make Matzo Ball soup. Been down with the flu 2 weeks, feel better and wished my Mom,Dad and Grandparents were all alive to help me make this. I remember my Mom telling me that without dill it isn't Jewish lol. Also flat leaf parsley was needed. I have the info in my head but now have to make it and get busy.
You are oozing with awesomeness! I'm from a 1/2 Jewish family and we always order our Passover food (including Matzo Ball Soup) from the kosher deli. Good stuff, but super expensive. I bet it's cheaper if we make it ourselves. You've inspired me. I'll test these out on my fam around Christmas and see if they give me the thumbs up to make it for the Passover Seder. Thanks.
Dude, you are funny as hell. I was really laughing out loud watching this video while my shiksa wife is on the couch sick asking me to make her some soup. I am going to be busy all night making soup now. Anyway, you are extremely entertaining and your videos are a blast to watch. I'll kibitz with you later.
You inspired me to make matzo ball soup for the first time. They're all floaters. We'll see how they turn out.

I'm British and we don't have a huge Jewish community really, but please correct me:
You used Kosher salt, what is the reason for that?
I ask because you said you like Bacon Fat and I thought you weren't "allowed" to eat pork products?
Am I totally wrong?
I mean, if you eat pork, then I guess there's no real need to use kosher versions of anything.
Regardless, the recipe was great. Thanks.
I made this today with my chicken carcass and leftover veg. I'm frugal and don't like to throw shit out.
