hey guys, Djanthony has got a point - Daft Punk are far from the best MIXERS! there is a difference between Dj'ing and being an electronic producer.. they are geniouses in the studio and their choice of songs in dj settings, but as far as DJ'ING goes they aint the best.. all respect towards them of course.. that is a matter of opinion my man. i understand what you are saying if youre speaking in a TECHNICAL sense, saying they don't do too much shit that is TECHINICALLY elaborate or maybe they're not 'the best' in your opinion at that, even though they do have a pretty elaborate set up when they perform live, they are my FAVORITE dj duo what they do IN THE MIX.

i agree with what previous posters have said regarding their track selection. they're up there with the best, if not the best in my opinion when selecting their tunes. overall, they have made their success obviously from their production work. this event really was an opportunity to get their name out there before they released discovery and thereon played wearing masks.

I mean this in the most polite way towards Tomas and Guy but I have to say that if any of you have ever seen them actually spin live then you can attest to the fact that they are not very talented mixing. As far as producing goes, they are the best to me but I'm just saying that they really aren't that good at spinning. Anyone else agree? Still love Daft Punk in the studio just not on the 1's and 2's .

i understand why youre saying they arent the best as far as dj's and technical ability go. for me the skill of djing is mainly track selection and keeping the crowd going. daft punk do that. scratching or mashups in my mind aren't so much what pulls the crowd in my view, theyre there for the tunes. i guess i may be old fashioned and just like one classic after another.

@daftpunk849 I love to hear one classic after another also! After all, I did grow up in the 90's and was apart of the late 90's Chicago rave scene. I was just trying to say that sometimes they don't even blend tracks. They just seem to fade it over to the next track without any regard for blending. I still love Daft Punk and I would pay to see them anytime. Anyways, good to see you like Daft Punk also! STAY HOUSE!
