Well my wifes is doing the same thing, but dam, not that loud!! I hope you find out what it is. The stang we have has done it for YEARS, like 5+, still runs like a top.

hey i had this on my 199 the valve spring broke and your valve is hitting the piston you need your heads done that is all hope you don't damage the [piston

did you figure out the problem with the motor causing the knock? i have the exact same problem and sound with my 97 3.8 v6.. pls let me know. i'd like to fix this

also, try taking off the spark plugs one by one. If you find a spark plug that makes the knock go away, you have a spun rod bearing.

check your exhaust. if you have a collapsed lifter, you will have an uneven exhaust note. My money is on a rod knock

Sounds to me like a rod knock. Kudos on the suprcoupe swap idea. Ive got a 94 I bought had the same issue and put a motor in. I wanna do a supercoupe swap someday after im out of college.
