@cwbeasy1987 ammo doesnt expire, just keep it in a area with as low moisture as possible and it wouldnt be a bad ideal to put a couple of the little packets that soak up moisture in there

I would not use that high quality ammo for target practice though.

Depends on the ammo.. with FMJ ammo the 5.56 has more stopping power because it fragments. The 7.62 AK round needs a hollow or softpoint or it just zips right through

AK47 is best for the untrained..they are super rugged and reliable. Get at least [12] 30 rd mags and a few 20 rders for prone shooting.. and 2,000 rds minimum ammo. Handgun..at least 9MM and high quality.. Glock, Ruger, CZ, Springfield Armory, etc.. at least 12 mags, holster, mag pouches and 1,500 rds. Get at least a 3A ballistic vest, too
FALs are good, there a .308, mini 14s have good accuracy for a semi auto .223, 223 round is common and cheaper, my dad just bought a tantal its like an ak 47 its a good gun
my next goal is to get 20 - 50lb bags of rice and 20 - 50lb bags of beans. Thats 1000 lbs of each rice and beans. Gonna need a bigger pick-up truck soon!

You can mod them and use "duck-bill" SKS mags to replace the fixed reservoir/mag, or, you can buy an SKK which is an SKS that takes the AK mags as standard and can still be fed with stripper clips from the top - really nice and versatile.
Good video, but not just guns are needed. I've bought a bunch of earthboxes and plan to grow as much food as I can. There are good seed companies with organic seeds, like Baker Seeds for example. Also raising rabbits for meat is not a bad idea. Hopefully as many people as possible will do this and gun violence won't become so neccessary. However, don't give up your guns, and for the love of God don't obey any crass registration laws like they have in New York!

If you have a choice between a shotgun and one of the weapons mentioned, you chose the latter. shotguns are good and with buck shot you really cant miss but when a guy's got several loaded 40 round clips of 5.56mm and you got your shot gun (with what 20 rounds in a few different clips?) and are engaged in a firefight, the guy with the AW has the edge in firepower. Even more so if it's from a distance where YOU (with the shotgun) cannot hit HIM.
So you can stop people who might rape you and leave you for dead or steal your things and then possibly kill you. You know, for relatively important reasons like those. I'm not joking either.
Went to the gun store today, a tin of 7.62 jumped from $170 to $250 in ONE week. I could not find any 223 or 5.56 at all. I only shoot my 22's for target practice due to the shortages and cost of ammuntion. Illinois
Been telling some people the same thing but they won't listen. All those steel cased rounds leave a varnish inside your weapon and this MUST be cleaned after every box of ammo. For an extra buck anyone can get the American Eagle ammo , which is alot better.
