  • Uauh !!! Que bestia !!! So impressive !

  • always thought the tiger had front sloped armor ?

  • @13jam100 Only the King Tiger had it. The Tiger had many flaws: the complex suspension, underpowered, difficult to pass bridges, difficult to repair...But it was better than the horrible Elefant designed by Porsche, so it became a legend.

As mentioned, the late Pz IVs and the Panther were much more efficient. Even the small and cheap Hetzer could knock out every enemy tank at a reasonable range.

  • Also, much talk will be made about Panther and Tiger tanks being superior to allied tanks, when in fact the Tiger and Panther tanks were helpless against Thunderbolt and Typhoon fighter bombers. Michael Wittmann's Tiger was killed by a Typhoon, most likely. Since allied airpower ruled the skies, German armor was largely nullified on the western front. Allied armor was almost unmolested by the Luftwaffe on the western front, unlike on the eastern front early in the war.

  • The Tiger tank helped Germany lose the war. Four Panzer IV tanks could have been built for each Tiger Panzer VI produced. The upgunned Panzer IV was competitive with the T34/85, and 4 Panzer IV tanks could be in 4 different places at once, a trick the Tiger Panzer VI could not pull off. The better anti-armor 76mm gun of the Panther Panzer V and better mobility made it superior to the Panzer VI, as it was superior to any allied tank and easier to produce than the Panzer VI. Tiger is overrated.

  • My favourite tank of all time

  • oh wunder real tiger, lob an usa piple

  • how much to import to mexico i need something to kick some asses here } roush hour especially

  • i went to a tank

  • Nice. The 250 and 251 are also cool.

  • german tanks in ww2 was built as quality products and not as quantity like t-34 or sherman.

our tanks was better, but quality cant fight against mass of tanks.

  • Comment removed

  • the nicest tank ever

  • my uncle drove a sheman in ww2 the tiger took him out he feared the tiger even when it was on tv you could see the look on his face years later great video well done i like it very much thank you one of a kind

  • Sherman is crap... exept for sherman firefly...tiger can penetrate him over 4km.

  • Tiger: 1842 produced (inclusive royal tiger)

IS-2: 3475 produced in less time

    nuff said ibn oblivious

    @1980friend

IS-2 were entrenched as anti-chinese-weapons on the far-east border :D

  • Finally a Tiger tank arrived England.

  • meh, i knew about these before i was born XD

  • Die beste Armee war die Wehrmacht!!

Ruhet in Frieden ihr treuen Krieger Deutschlands :-(

  • Ja das ist unser Deutscher Stahl

  • cool! but where is JS-2 which could defeat this crap? xD

  • @1980friend Tiger was the best Tank in the 2. worldwar...and JS-2 come AFTER the 2. worldwar...JS is crap xD

  • @Marco0203041

Tiger had only good 88mm cannon (maybe the best in WW2) other description you can search in internet! IS-2 (3,4) was in service during 1943-1995 LOL

  • @1980friend But the german Tanks never fight against JS-2...

  • @Marco0203041

of course they didnt fight each other because of nazi general Guderian. He told not to fight with Stalin 1v1 only 2 or more Tigers v 1 IS-2.. You can imagine few 56-tonns tigers v one 46-tonns IS-2 xD

  • @Marco0203041

Tigers got nearer the Victory over nazi Germany because germans had to spend a lot of money for this rubbish. Of course this is the best tank in WW2 xD

  • no,U.S and Russia were diesel powered that`s why the advance into Russia stopped is because the fuel would freeze

  • thanks i always thought german tanks were all diesel powered

  • What is "better" ? You must differentiate a lot. "A Porsche is better than a Jeep. Isnt it ?" ;)

  • First there was COD, then I-know-everythin-bout-guns-kidz. After that there came World of Tanks, then I-know-everythin-bout-tanks-kidz

  • and some how in World of tanks this tank sucks

  • @whitedragon1204 lol in realit, most tanks were very weak against the tiger.

  • Beautiful!!!! Seeing the half tracks were just added bonuses

  • Legendary machine, nothing more, nothing less... <3

  • cool

  • 0:50 Is the worst place a Tiger could wish to be when an M4A3E8 shows up. Amazing how the Sherman, despite performing outstandingly against Panzer III Ausf Js and Panzer IV Ausf F2s, got all the bad credit just because of a simple statement by Erwin Rommel. P.S: The Russians loved the 4,000 Shermans we sent to them. But they did complain quite a bit (especially at the fact that the 76.2 couldn't penetrate 51mms at 600 meters!) about the T-34.

  • eventually Natzi found themselves unable to stop huge wave of medium russian tanks T-34 which had diesel engines and were faster then heavy Tiger

  • this tank eats incredible amount of gasoline.. about 5 litres just to go 1 km..

  • 0:01-0:04 - woah - I never knew the AV-7 of WWI was around the size of a Tiger I!

  • my favourite WW2 tank

  • Most feared tank of ww2 couldnt imagine being a allied tank commander going up against that monster

  • @shigeolincolntaco Yes - Tigerphobia was so powerful even General Montgomery forbade reports diveging too much information on the Tiger I's capabilities! I'm surprised there was no 'Pantherphobia' though - and there was thje Jagdpanther - another 2 feared German vehicles of WWII but the Tiger I really took the intial limelight with thick armor of Brinell hardness of over 250 plus the kwk 36 88mm gun - the Tiger actually really is a Panzer IV scaled up if you think carefull yabout it :)

  • @HeirofGojira91 Panthers, also could be taken out at over a thousand meters. 1,400 is the longest recorded shot by a 76mm M1 gun. The Panther, despite its nice beauty, actually stole the Sherman's reputation for being a "tommy cooker!" Also note the fact that it wasn't American Shermans that failed hard, but British variants, whose crews refused to stow the ammunition in lockers. There was no such thing as an actual "petrol gas problem."

  • @Tyco200 I prefer the Jagdpanther myself to the Panther - if you think of it the lack of a turret is a tactical weakness but a bigger gun, cheaper to build + sufficient speed and Panther's hull armor made it practically a good AFV during WWII - atleast defensive wise anyways - unlike the Bengal Tiger or the Jagdtiger which were too heavy and suffered speed problems - maintenance owuld have been a nightmare!

  • @Tyco200 Is a Panther Ausf G outclassed in overall performance compared to the T-34/85? As I had said - the 85mm is a BIGGER caliber in a 1-1 shot hence more HE, the Russian tank was lighter, cheaper and faster plus it had numbers whilst the Panther however had crews and superior optics with the PaK 42 75mm gun so...

  • @Tyco200 Have you read of the propaganda myth that the Soviet A19 121.92mm gun could penetrate a Panther's 80mm glacis at 1500 m flat out? I found it abit of a Mickey Mouse after re-reading the story - since the Panther's glacis plate was hard to penetrate by most guns or even AT guns - plus the fact the Panther tested might not have been a later series Panther tank. German tests suggested the A19 had only a chance at the mantlet at 1500 m or so but only 100m on the bottom hull armor...

  • @HeirofGojira91 And yea, the Tiger is basically no more than a larger Panzer IV. Hell, the guns look so identical, troops in Normandy mistakened nearly 60% of all the apparent Tigers for Panzer IVs.

  • @Tyco200 Panzer IV - it is unfortunate the Tiger I and the Panther took its limelight - after all until '41 - '42 the Panzer IV was the biggest tank the Germans had and was considered good enough for most battles - and even when the Tiger/Panther or the improved T-34/85's and Shermans rolled out the Panzer IV's ability to be upgunned and armored meant it was still no pushover in battle in a 1-1 fight - and it was said to still inflict good casualties in WWII battles ...

  • @shigeolincolntaco Well - the Allies did have the IS-2 tank, Pershing (though too little and too late), Comet and I suppose the Mayfly Shermans VC 1c hybrids with the QF 17 pounder but regardless save for the IS-2 and perhaps Pershing the Tiger I could still flatten these tanks without too much trouble with its 88 mm kwk 36 gun cannon :) Or the fact they had experienced aces and excellent optics/tactics during the defensive battles :)

  • @HeirofGojira91 And the American M4A1 Sherman armed with an M1 76mm gun, the eventual E8 and the Hellcat, all of which could kill a Tiger beyond 1,600 meters. Also note how these same tanks with the standard 75mm gun outperformed Panzer IVs in every way up until the end of the war. 75mm could not only penetrate 60mms of armor at 1,000 meters, but could still win against 80 at 800 meters (Ironic.)

  • @Tyco200 Hmm - and yet unfortunately the Tiger I / Panthers still inflicted good casualties on the improved Shermans and TD's during WWII at ranges beyond which they could respond? The only Sherman I've heard designed to withstand aTiger I was the Jumbo Sherman with thick amounts of armor...

  • @shigeolincolntaco I watched a documentary on Tiger I3I and it was said Tiger I3I managed to knock out 2 Chuchills before it iself got knocked out by a 6 pounder.

  • That is a thing of fucking beauty. Haven't seen Tiger myself but seen plenty of tanks and even operated one myself.

  • Really not invincible against the ISU-2 And the IS-2

I'm still really passionate about the German Military. I'm almost becoming a Nazi

I played Sudden Strike, I learned all about their tanks in that lil DOS game

  • @Klaudiosable Actually if I may - the Tiger I had the advantage of commanders, experience and superior optics to the Soviet AFV's you mentioned. I personally like the IS-2 tank myself but remember at battles with Korsun-Shekensovsky the Tiger I's manuevered and used excellent optics to knock out the IS-2 tanks despite initial shock the 88's bounched of the IS-2's 100-120mm sloped armor - though it shows the legacy of the KV-1 tank! But again the 121.92mm D-25T gun on the IS-2 has good HE :)

  • @HeirofGojira91 Yes, and like all major soviet disasters, the IS-2 had poor optics, copied German ideas, a horrible gun for AP power (but did have excellent HE), and lacked in actually carrying over 30 rounds! But hey, at least it wasn't the disastrous T-34, which had its ammunition exposed, crew compartments cramped, horrible optics so bad the driver couldn't keep his hatch closed, an inferior 85, even to the 76-M1, that would show its failure in Korea and horrid transmission problems.

  • @Tyco200 I thought the IS-2 still has ammo problems too - the OF-471 HE rounds were said whilst potent against forts - they were still inferior to the HUGE 53-OF-540 which was used in the elite ZVEROBOY! Only 28 rounds unfortunately. But wouldn't a BIGGER caliber usually allow more HE damage? So the 85mm ZiS 53 still has a bigger HE to the 76mm M1 or the excellent PaK 42 75mm gun of the Panther tank. Was the IS-2 worse than the KV-1 tank in your opinion or was it better?

  • @Tyco200 Why I ask? Because Kotin and General Petrov came up with a means to upgrade the KV-1 armor and the KV-3-KV-13 prototypes would lead to the IS-2 program as the IS-2 was stated to have superior armor than the KV-1 tanks and slightly faster speed due to the improved compact design. But since we know the 121.92mm A19 gun was not really an outstanding AT gun - was the 85mm or 100mm a better choice to arm it? Because given the A19 had a low ROF the 100mm and the 85mm would have a faster ROF..

  • @Tyco200 Because a few documentaries have made funny claims on the IS-2 having armor up to 160mm thick where my readings tell me it ranged no more than 100-120mm on IS-2m 1944's. Furthermore the documentaries and books stated whilst the Tiger I could still tank on a T-34/85 in the masses the IS-2 was said to be a more dangerous opponent in a 1-1 battle assuming no ambush and only ranged fights took place...yet at Korsun Shekensovsky the early IS-2's had armor problems by 1000 yards...

  • @Tyco200 I hear that IS-2 tank crews were different compared to most over Soviet WWII tank crews - if they weren't lucky T-34 veterans or former KV-1 operators they were usually comprised of more officer-ranked crew members of the Soviet Army - and whilst the IS-2 still had its problems the IS-2 tanks usually were the better led and better armed Soviet Tank formations compared to the T-34/85 given the IS-2 tank obviously costs more and hence requires different operation traning...

  • i wonder if that tank could still fire or is the main gun disabled

  • @Guitarnoob99 It's disabled.

  • 198likes, 1 dislikes.

one person is Josef Stalin. Or Vladimir P.

  • @MrTiti Josef Stalin are better then Tiger tanks. That was clearly shown during the battles in 1944

  • @MrTiti Now its Josef Stalin AND Vladimir!

  • @MrTiti nah, a sherman

  • On 21 April 1943, a Tiger I of the 504th German heavy tank battalion, with turret number 131, was captured on a hill called Djebel Djaffa in Tunisia. A round from a Churchill tank of the British 48th Royal Tank Regiment hit the Tiger's gun barrel and ricocheted into its turret ring, jamming its traverse and wounding the commander. The crew bailed out and the tank was captured. The tank was repaired and displayed in Tunisia before being sent to England for a thorough inspection.

  • You can have always two different angles. Here is a car and there is a Rolls Royce. And here is a Tank and there is a tiger. Unbeschreiblich….

  • Deutscher stahl :d

  • @MrRedFireIbG Hätten wir den krieg nicht verloren hätten ammis nicht die beste armee sondern wie >:D

  • Wow...living history here. That is so cool how they got this to work. Can it fire is main gun? Also how much is it in fuel costs for this?

  • @gamerkid1177

lol Tigers did guzzle up fuel, im sure its not cheap, and most tanks that i see restored can fire a gun, you just need legal authority

  • Achtung Panzer! Er ist ein sehr schön Maschine! Deutsche Technologie = Perfeket! ^^

  • Amazing restoration, great video

  • @darknessesbane To be fair, the only damage was the gun mantle. Churchill shell got got through the chassis and the turret ramming it's rotation making it useless and the crew abandoned it.

  • Achtung Panzer, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, run for your lives.

  • Its 101 like, need a 30 more :D

  • Tiger 131 From the 504th Captured 21 April 1943 in Tunesia

  • nice presentation... like it ;-)

  • Tiger is an amazing tank

  • Fantastic restoration! Well done.

  • just having a wank over this!

  • Yeah! Tiger rules!

  • nice video !

turret speed is much slower than of the Panther or sherman

  • Anyone see it the drivethrough at McDonalds? LOL. What a gorgeous tank.

  • i think i'll get me one instead of an SUV!

  • beautiful video! :)

    greetings from Germany ;-)

  • Great video. Very excellent camera work capturing the Tiger.

  • Awesome. So glad that ones still running. Great stuff!!

  • Die Nr. 131(007) kann, glaube ich, leider keiner wieder Restaurieren! Der Tiger wurde(wer es nicht weiß) von einer Fliegerbombe getroffen und total zerstört!(M.W/L.A.H)

  • Very cool tank...hope one day I can get enough money to restore tanks and do this.

  • Achtung!!!!!! PANZER!!!!!! =D

  • every tiger on the field ment that 5 panzer IV's were not, a strategic error. but who cares?

Interesting is that the tiger has a differential. It can steer smooth without stopping a track.

  • Luckily, he didn't spot me at 2:10, ufff !!

  • we should deploy these bad boys to Iraq stomp all over those Taliban pussies

  • man those tiger tanks are bigger than an modern abraham tank^^

  • What an audiovisual feast! Thanks a lot for posting! Good job!!!

  • Amazing to see history come to life like that, congrats to the 131 restorers and everyone who contributed!

  • Engine sounds a lot better!

  • Beautiful quality of these shots, very much better than the quality of my offerings..... jealouse really....

  • I agree - excellent video. I was driving 131 on the Saturday and Sunday so couldn't see much of that through my letter box!

  • Brilliant video Chris - as always!

  • Thanks Hatakashi, I'm very glad you like it.
